Length of the Shockwave will have an impact, but the limiting factor is still the axle/frame rail clearance. Aired out the rocker will be appx 3" off the ground with a 28" tire. At this point the OETrialing arm and trans crossmembers are 1" above the dirt.

Prob not the 'same' truck, but the one directly posted above hase basically the same chassis. It uses Shockwaves vs coil overs....

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

The height of mine is the same as the rear rail kit. I did raise my rails a little more but it was for how I did the sway bar and panhard bar.

Can I ask why the offset on the rack? Why not just center the rack?
I am just wondering, i was going to center mine. "If I was to install my own" Would I lose travel?

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

You would have to put a extension on both side if you centered it. Then the steering shaft would probably be in the engine. You keep it all the way to the left for clearance.

How wide is it from rail to rail? How wide of a back tire can be used? I think this may be exactly what I need.

The raised rail kit (long/short) stays at 34 3/8" wide O.D. all the way back. The inner fender lip is 73 1/2" I.D. So, inner lip to frame rail is 19.5". Out FatBar 4-link sits outside the rail, and takes up 3 1/2", So with that suspension you have 16". Plenty of room for a 345 tire or a 12" slick.

For our WideRide IFS, yes, we can do a manual rack. This is a flaming river billit rack, and adds +$200. We can drop the sway bar, -$175. The ZG spindle is avail separately, $380 pr, but really won't fit any OE suspension. - but, we can drop the 12" OE brakes (23 lbs per side) -$250, and you can use a Wilwood 12" dynalite drag brake (11 lbs per side). The standard WideRide is 180 lbs lighter that the OE IFS. Man rack saves 6 lbs, + pump and hoses. No sway bar saves you another 18 lbs. Do the brake swap and save another 24 lbs. That 228 lbs. off of the front. Should be worth .250 sec.

Can that top mount rear sway bar be mounted while the bed is on the truck.?

Also do people do their C-notches with the bed on..?

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

Rob,
I'm building my 72 c10 short box to lay frame.
Will the rear rail kit allow me to achieve this or will I bottom out before laying out?
Thanks in advance.
I'm just checking my options and I really like the rear rail set-up,
But It appears to not be what I will need.

BigDaddyV

With the raised rail kit and a 26 inch tall tire the frame will be 1.75 inches off the ground roughly. If you put in a small c notch you could get there. What rear suspension are you thinking?

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

If I were to go with the Rail Kit, I was gonna do the no limit Fat bar 4 link. with bags.

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

I'm sure I could make it work, and I'm no stranger to Fabrication. I may go that route....
But then again, I just realized you said 26" tire.... I won't run anything smaller that 29" on the rear so it may be a problem...

Re: No Limit Spy Photos

You could probably get to .75 of the ground with a 29 tall tire.
