yes. see post #177 above. Detailed instructions on how to fit it to our knee knocker cabs. I just did my 63 and it is the $hit. Fits great. Splice was easy, and door closes with minimal effort. No longer afraid of breaking the door glass by slamming them with two hands.

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

Here is one more success story. I ordered mine through Hondapro and had them in 4 days. In 10 minutes had both sides on......AMAZING DIFFRENCE!!!

Before I had to use two hands and force the door shut. Now with the doors open 6 inches, just a nice push and the doors both latch. I'm OCD about things working properly and the doors not shutting correct bugged me since I installed the new repo weather stripping....now I can sleep at night again knowing my doors shut without a two handed slam.

Beers to the person(2) who found this fix!!

Has anyone taken these off and then put them back on? I don't want to put mine on if taking them off might ruin them.

Just a thought
I used the rear door seals from a salvage yard sedan on my 63. The seal leaves a larger piece to be spliced in but I think it looks better because the spliced piece goes across the bottom and fits in in each corner.. If using a salvage yard seal the rear doors is the way to go. I looked at three sedans and the rear seals on all of them looked almost new. I used the passenger side front seal to splice in.
The driver door seals on all the cars showed signs of wear. There are at least four colors that these come in.

They can be taken off and put back on with no damage very easily. You should just try a small section to satisfy your curiosity.

I've been holding off on putting mine on.

Just installed the Honda door seals. They fit great and the door shuts like a new one. Amazing find. Ordered them one day and got them two days later. Rockwall Honda in Texas.

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

I did this last summer and they fit great but my doors shut harder than they did before. I haven't been able to discover where the tight spots are yet but I'm getting ready to pull the doors off and do some bodywork so maybe I'll get it lined out then. Very easy to pull off and reinstall. You don't need glue. I'd buy them again.

I put baby powder on mine too, that seemed to help but they do get better with use

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

What a great tip! Big thank-you to Rob Fisher.

I was leery about spending the money for a new set until after I paint my truck which could be a long time. To buy from the local Honda dealer, the cost would've been around C$150, and who knows how long I'd have to wait for a service appointment to have them installed! Just kidding about the install.

I found a few Civic coupes at Pic'n'Save in Hamilton Ontario. All but one were the tan colour. I was able to buy the only graphite pair for $8 dollars each!

I got them home, cleaned them up and installed them in my knee-knocker cab. Unbelievable! the doors have never closed this well. I was able to adjust my strikers in to properly align the doors & no more slamming. I'll grab another seal to cut filler pieces out of. For that, the colour won't matter, as it'll be under the sill plate.

This is one time that I'll have to disagree with my buddy's license plate.

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

I thought that I would add my experience. I ordered the left and right seals from Honda of Lisle and found that the right(72315-SWA-A01ZA) is about a foot too short for my '64. The left(72355-SWA-A01ZA) fits just fine. I'm not sure if I'm just lucky enough to have gotten the wrong seal with the correct part number on the bag or what. Did anyone else actually order the right or just two lefts?

I ordered a right and left. They both fit great. I have a 65 which is identical to a 64 except for the C10 emblem.

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

I think I found the problem. If you order an "SWA" part instead of the "SVA" part, you might get the wrong part.

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

Saturday I hit the bone-yard and got two 07 Civic 2 door seals for $10 each.

Score - I think they are the cat's whiskers.

Went home and immediately cut the molded corner out and installed on Driver's Side door opening.

They do bunch a bit at the dog-leg, but no worries - it's a hoopty.

Looks to be @ 6" short so I will need a third seal or chunk of another seal to finish up... so if any of you dog-leg cab folks have a scrap left over let me know.

Seems silly to burn another seal for 12-13" of stock but if that's what it takes, I'll hold on to the left-overs to save for someone else.

I just popped on a third seal at another salvage yard, so after I get my 62 done tonight the remaining material is of no use to me...

So anyone who needs the 12-14" to finish your early cab let me know - I'll mail it to you so you don't have to buy a third seal for a scrap of material

Before this gets moved to Pay-It-Forward or deleted "as an attempt at a classified" I don't care - I'm not asking anything for it - just trying to help someone avoid the extra time and expense of obtaining one for the 12" of material required to complete the seal on a 60-63 cab.

It's black but color won't matter if you splice under the sill plate.
