00 GMC 1500 2wd hub assembly

I have a loud vibrating GROWL from the front end. My guess is a hub assembly gone bad. I first was thinking it was the drivers side. Now I'm unsure.
While turning the wheel to the right at speed, the sound goes away. I'm thinking that while turning right, it unloads the passenger side wheel bearing. While turning left, the Growl remains. Is it the passenger side hub assembly that needs replacement? Thanks.

if you can jack the front end up and spin the tires one at a time. If the gearing is bad, you should be able to feel it making noise while spinning the wheel, and touching the upper control arm

Thanks cparman, I'll try that. My luck, both sides will make noise and grind.
