1973 Cheyenne Super 30 Crew Cab

I finally picked this up today after two years of patiently waiting for the seller to give me a more realistic price. I'm planning on using it to tow my car trailer and carry the kids to their softball games and just enjoy.

Freshen it up, clean the interior and drive it. I'd like to one day maybe find another longbed the same color or make it a shortbed and paint it.

Re: 1973 Cheyenne Super 30 Crew Cab

I pulled the seats so I could pull up the old dirty rubber floor mat to check the floors. Looks like someone used the truck as their personal break room. Found some rust on the floors, nothing major but the passenger side will need a small patch.

Very cool truck. I'd love to find a Crew someday. I love the color combo on this truck too! I'll follow along to see how it cleans up.

Re: 1973 Cheyenne Super 30 Crew Cab

Ugh! She's a beaut. Wish I was closer/had the money to get it. I like everything about the truck. I'd try posting it under the classifieds section on here.

My 86 GMC and my 88 Crew are my two projects. Not so much the 86 GMC; it runs and drives, and with 87k original, it's doing good. Just sent it in to get valve seals adjusted. It smoked a little when it ran, but when they installed the new valve seals, it made it smoke a lot more. So sent it back to them to readjust them.

My plans right now are to have the 87 my daily until I get the crew cab up and going. After I get it going, I plan on converting the 87 to 4x4 and making it my plow truck, and the crew my daily. Plan on the 87 having a 350/400/208 combo with 3.08 gears, and the crew cab a 400/400/208 with 4.10 gears. Will see how things go. Thanks
