Re: off it goes

Looks nice, Just wondering how you keep all that bare metal from getting surface rust after sanding?

Is it a climate controlled garage? or some other secret?

Thanks, kind of what I've been doing with the entire truck.....just subtle changes to make you think "something looks different"

No real secret.....as you can see we only remove as much paint as is needed to do the work in that certain area. Then we usually try to get primer on it as soon as we can....

Re: off it goes

Just wondering ,have you done or going to anything with the inside of the rear wheel tubs, like bring the tub down further on the body line at the back? I don,t like how there is so much air space in the rear.

Re: off it goes

We will be building inner splash panels in the rear wheel wells similar to what we did in the fronts

Re: off it goes

Much better. I always thought they looked out of place when they are just slapped on the firewall.

Re: off it goes

This truck is just wild! I love the attention to detail and the "I would call it magic" metal artwork on this truck! That truck won´t even need filler anywhere as nice as the metal work is done!

I love the idea with the lower grill are where you added the two extra holes. I´m really tempted to steal that idea for my truck! Would you mind?

I would say this is the best ever build 2WD square body! Let me know what you come up with for the LS coil pack and wirking cover. I´d love to have something old school looking on mine to cover that area, but I don´t like the plastic stuff that is available. Something aluminum or steel would be nice. If I like (and I´m sure I will) what you end up with on your truck, I might have you do a second set and send them to me!

Can´t wait to see what you come up with!

Re: off it goes

I not only want to see this truck when its done, but where it goes. As far as what all awards it will win, what magazines it will be featured in etc. Going to be pretty cool knowing that i have followed along from day one!

Amazing what can do with a pair of rusty free valve covers, still more to go but it's coming out cool

Re: off it goes

Thanks Jeff.....wanted a clean look, love these motors just not a fan off all the wiring, plumbing and injectors. Once valve covers are polished and this gets painted the way I have it planned.....it should look pretty cool
