cleaning hei reluctor ?

Just cleaning up the old hei which was sticking on the weights and reluctor has that rusty look. Was wondering how to clean it up abit. Thinking off electric cleaner spray and a soft toothbrush. Any other suggestions or leave it.

I like CRC electronics cleaner. A soft toothbrush sounds like an appropriate tool.

If the rust is bad us one of these:

They make it bronze also. I believe you can pull the reluctor out without removing the distributor.

Thanks, didn,t want to damage anything. Dist is out ,thought I would rebuild it and exchange it on another of my trucks and rebuild that one as a spare.
