This place is getting boring

Like the title states. Hotrod 80 quit us. DJ is keeping secrets. 71Dragtruck and me are the only ones posting. Where's that kid with the Milktruck? He needs to start a thread about his truck. Or is he in Summer School from spending too much time on here? Where ya at kid?

There use to be lot's of racers in here, did they all give it up and move onto something new, or just quit posting.

I'm not because I sold my truck, I'm gathering parts to restore my '55 Belair but I was kicked off of Otis' site.

Re: This place is getting boring

So Regan, you going racing this weekend? I'm planning on heading to the track Fri afternoon for Sat & Sun, maybe do a few passes at Fri night street drags we'll play that one by how the traction is looking as they don't prep for it, but is usually decent.

Forecast had shown rain but it's looking better every time I check.

Re: This place is getting boring

Here's my good buddy's 68. Runs good at the local 8th nothing special. All my trucks are 4x4. I keep trying to build different stuff to take to the track and run him but I never get that far.. Workin on a 50' olds gasser with a caddy motor I'd like to race some day not competitively just for fun. He's 23 i'm 26..

Re: This place is getting boring

You should tell him to join the forum and post up in here about his truck and update as he goes.

Re: This place is getting boring

I'm doing the Summit Midwest Drags in my C10 right now. Currently running well in the Daily Driver class, went 11.52 and 11.57 on an 11.50 index. Great event and I hope it continues.

No I doesn't look like I'll be doing anything for a couple weeks. Our next scheduled race is in Noble Ok on the 21st. Maybe I can get there early and test the day before. Have fun and be careful if you run Friday.

Re: This place is getting boring

Still here, tho I guess I'm not among the hardcore racers. I don't post as much since the photobucket shutdown took away all the good photo threads and DIY's.
I think the price of the trucks has gone up so much that 95% of the "new" builds are just guys putting AccuAir kits and wheels on any semi-clean southern truck they find. I'm ok with that to some extent, but it limited the # of people willing to put that same $20k into a motor and then fling it down a strip.

The sh!t talking part of racing culture never really fit here so thats still all on YB haha. Not to mention that Instagram took the spot for build updates since the photobucket thing also, and gave it a wider audience.

also on that note.... @REV_J_HD for update pics

Re: This place is getting boring

Summit Midwest Drags were a blast!

I finished first in the Daily Driver class, last day of competition ran an 11.507 and 11.519 on an 11.50 index.

Midwest Motorsports Media will be posting photos of the event.

That does look nice. If I had a bed cover thats the way I would do it. The suspension looks good also.

I lurk in the back ground every now and then . Photo bucket took the wind out of my sales and haven't found a photo host that isn't a pain to replace it .

Photobucket is operational for free again but pics are watermarked, I’ve been using it again and all my old previous hosted pics are working.

Yo! You're local to me. Always love watching that truck run at Winterport and then seeing it around town later that same day.

I'm usually there as a spectator, taking photos, etc. Hoping to run my truck once this year (super slow) and then have something a little more fun next year or the year after.

Hey Eric! Small world. Zach with the 68 actually lives pretty close to you in Penobscot, I'm on rt 15 in Orrington if you ever drive up this way, my 71 sits behind a farmhouse on the right hand side just after the blinking light.

he bought a 68 r/s tube frame car off another friend of mine he is trying to put together with a sbc nitrous motor this year and has a cts-v with a 408 ls hes running too, you won't see his truck I don't think.

Keep in touch!
