Ls/lq vs bolt on fuel injection

I’ve lurked on this forum quite a bit and I have been working on my 70 C10 for a while with metal work. I am beginning to consider drivetrain options and have been leaning toward an LS swap. However, I would like to hear the pros and cons of this swap compared to say a simple bolt fuel injection kit using an older style block.
Your input is appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Ls/lq vs bolt on fuel injection

if you want Fi just go LS and be done with it...around here i can get a decently low mileage LS cheaper than the add on Fi for a sb..power,fuel mileage, easy start..

Re: Ls/lq vs bolt on fuel injection

bolt on FI, $800

LS Swap, total engine, trans, mounts, fab work ect..

i was leaning towards an LS swap, but all other parts of mine were low miles and bolted right on what i had.
