New pics of the truck...

I got the windows tinted, the rear sport bumper on, and the sport mirrors installed and wanted to post a few pics, so here they are...

Re: New pics of the truck...

Very nice truck, centsless. I love that color, too. Kinda reminds me of the Monte we used to have.

And the other day, John at work drove his truck in, and we got a few shots of them together...

Re: New pics of the truck...

Nice truck.

Two questions for you on the mirrors.

1) Can you see anything beside you on the passenger side? I tried, mounting mine last weekend and I can't adjust the right side in far enough to see down the side of the truck and behind me.

2) Did you mount the plates on the inside of the doors? If so was that difficult?

Re: New pics of the truck...

1) yes, I can see fairly well. Did you mount the mirror about 1 and 1/2 inches further back on the pass. side?

2) Yes, I put the plates on the inside. I held the plate while my wife ran the screws in the mirrors. I did not glue the plates or anything. I bought the Mirrors, plates, and gaskets from The local Chevrolet dealer a few months ago

1) Yes I did, as per the instructions with the mirrors and the assembly manual.

2) How did you hold the plates in place? Did you take the inside door panel off?

I made a template from a truck with the sport mirrors from the factory. I pulled the door panels and held the plate in place and my wife got the screws started. I ran the screws into the plate first and then removed them so they would start easier. Then just aligned the mirror and gasket as I tightened them up.
