Re: GM connect and cruise engine package

On my LS connect and cruise in the 50 I used 2 1/2" pipe with and x pipe and Stainless Works turbo chambered and it dumps in front of rear tires. Mello when cruising with no drone and gets louder more you step on it. very happy with my set up.

Re: GM connect and cruise engine package

Is there enough room that the trailing arms won’t come up and hit the mufflers? I was considering tipping my mufflers on their sides to get beside the driveshaft and avoid the trailing arms.

Re: GM connect and cruise engine package

With the rear suspension bottomed out there is a 1.5 inc of clearance. Bottomed out means rear end touching the frame.

Re: GM connect and cruise engine package

Has anyone run in to problems with running the exhaust under the trans crossmember with a 4-6 drop?

Yes, you will drag it, or worst case, it looks ugly hanging down under the cab. Try an Early Classic, CPP, or similar type and route over it, or weld in humps using steel pipe

Re: GM connect and cruise engine package

I bought a straight across crossmember before realizing it would be a problem with exhaust routing. I modified it with the half pipes that are raised up with some flat pieces. I have the same kind of pipe pass throughs at the trailing arm crossmember as you.
