What gears in the rear-end??

I've got a 90 1/2T burb, 4WD, 350, 700r4 tranny. Anybody know what gears are in the front and rear end? All i know is that with the 35's on it now the thing is a dog!!!

Get the three letter code of the glovebox label that starts with the letter g . (ex . gu6 6t4 ,ect ) gu6 is 3.42 and gt4 is 4.10 . let me know what
it is and i can tell you. Also a g80 means posi.
My 80 here is 4.10 and 35s and it pulls good.

Cart before the horse.

Gears before tires ALWAYS. I would stop driving it till you get the gears done. 700r4 will not put up with that long.

35's with a 700 I would go with 4.56.

My 80 is a turbo 400. It does make a differecne over a 700r4.

Well I looked up the number's in the glove box, it says GT4 G80, so I guess i have a 4.10 posi. Sure doesn't seem like it though, guess I'll have to pull the diff cover and verify it. Also- what rear-end/ front end is it? Is it a corporate 10-bolt???

no problem- i'll probably go to a 4.10 gear- that might help a bit! But it's still a pig...LOL

I have a 12 Bolt with 3.08's and 32's...

Good thing the Big Block can make up for it till I get 3.42's. I don't know why I didn't put a diff. set in when I had the new 3.08's put in during the building of the new Rear End...

as i just finished both my front and rear axle now for the 3rd time--i am sure you have 373--in the axles with out anydoubt....if you are not on the highway's much--then listen to the advise given on the 456-gears....but if your like me and highway cruse thousands of miles-then go with the 410-411....this will give you tons of power--and you'll sh-t over the differance...from the 373's

but if in the future you plan on going to 38's at all- then go with the 456 now and save you time and bucks latter.....i really wish i had gone with the 456-instead of the 411---but the gas consumption is to much--if you do not need the 456 every day,,,,i run 36'' trxus---and still have enough power to eat these new big fords for breakfeast....

I have 4.56s in my 90 3/4 ton with 285/75r-16 tires and am always pulling it out of 4th to get the rpms and the power up, but cruising down the freeway on the flats it likes 75mph with 16mpg.
