Front Sway Bar Install

In the process of reinstalling my front sway bar and am wondering if i have it the right way? The measure 1.25" dia. I bought new bushings from LMC and they seem too small. Who sells them for sway bars of that diameter? Does anyone have pictures of the installed bar to verify the direction i am heading? Thanks

Pretty sure LMC offers poly which are very hard. We prefer the rubber because they ride better. I am sure some board member offers the rubber, if not contact Gary Terry "Cheyenne Superman" 325-691-1944.
Hope that helps Paul and Jason
P.S. nice looking work

Re: Front Sway Bar Install

looks good to me. check with the dealer for the bushings, you will be surprised.
have you been to Georgie Porgie's? back in 2000 I used to go with my 40 Plymouth 2 dr sedan, my 84 Olds Cutlass 4dr (HEALTHY SBC), and my buddies 72 Grand Prix. they had some awesome Pistachio Custard.

Re: Front Sway Bar Install

Look in the FAQ section. Years ago I wrote an article with pictures on sway bar installs. In it you will also find info on where to get 1.25 inch urethane bushings from your local O Reilly Auto Parts store right off the shelf for cheap.

Re: Front Sway Bar Install

I picked mine up from Pep Boys for a 1985 3/4 ton truck (1.25" diameter).

Re: Front Sway Bar Install

Thanks to all for the help and comments. Great write up TX. Had i actually read it and used the Moog p/n i could have saved myself 3 phonecalls and 3 trips to the autoparts store. Seems to be the story with this truck. I think the only part that i bought that worked was the steering column from Michael Bustamante. By the way got that all rebuilt and put back in. I actually did not go with the Moog parts but went with the MPC parts because i do not like the blue on black. Like the red but at this point just trying to get back together before the snow and get over to the car shows at Georgie Porgies.
