Textured Glovebox Door

I am looking for a glove box door that has the “textured” black front with the “chrome” on the edges. (1967/1968 I believe) I understand the “chrome” is probably worn, it is the over all condition of the door that I am concerned with. (I already bought one that was nothing more than a “paint job”, and the hinges did not even work). Thanks, Joe Bob.

Joe Bob, they were all painted silver and the black texture was just paint too. No chrome that I know of.

Yeah, I guess I just mean the edge looks like it is some sort of "bright work". Are you sure the door is just painted, and is not actually "textured" like the gaige clusters? If that is the case, I will just look into having my spare "Line X'd" or something like that. I just prefer the contrast of the black against the interior color. Thanks, Joe Bob. (I have had Andy on the hunt in the past!) JAM

What does "Line xd" or whatever you said mean?

I have some aluminum panels that I want to have some grining or lines or texture grooved into them. Is this what you are talking about?

Thanks

Earl, thanks for the offer, let me know how it works out for you. Kevin, "Line X" would be a way of getting a "textured" black coating on the glovebox door like the gaige cluster, nothing fancy. RaceDevil, thanks for the pics. That is a great example of why I prefer the contrast. Thanks to everyone for their posts. Joe Bob.
