Not Truck Part, But Need Help Identifying Tranny!

Hey all. I know it's not a truck tranny, but I got this in a parts deal for a '74 Midget and if I don't need it I was going to sell it on evilbay. I know it's a manual tranny and says BMW on the case. It also has the number 0058934AAO or Q stamped on it. Any Idea what kind of tranny and how much it's worth? Thanks in advance!

THanks in advance!!
Shawn

Re: Not Truck Part, But Need Help Identifying Tranny!

If its off a BMW motorcycle , Its probably off a K75 or K100, They were the only ones I know that had the engine/tranny painted black.

I cant tell by the pic, does it have a place for the shifter on it? If its in good shape most bmw bike trannys go for around 400 to 750 depending on the model.

Re: Not Truck Part, But Need Help Identifying Tranny!

Wow thanks for all the great replies everyone! I hadn't thought about the motorcycle tranny idea, but It could work. It is pretty good size though, my pic's just don't show it well.

Blunkangoo,
Thank you for checking on that siight, I appreciate it.

OregonC20,
I don't know why others call it evilbay, but I feel it has lost it's true identity. Ebay was set up for people to sell stuff they had and promote trust on the internet between users. It was Awesome! Somehow (as all things do) greedy swindlers and greedy companys have all but destroyed it. and made it hard for people like you or me to sell stuff because there is an obvious lack of trust now. Hope my answer sheds some light.

Thanks for all the help with this. I could definately use the money!! Of course the site will get a donation as soon as I sell this thing.

Re: Not Truck Part, But Need Help Identifying Tranny!

All I did was ask at a German Forum that covers just about every brand. I´m usually at the US Car section but I just asked at the BMW section and they sent me on the right path.
If you can understand and write german thats the forum for you when you need infos about german cars.
Good luck on selling the tranny.
Sean
P.S. I like your first name!
