Talking Wanted: '94 + Serpentine setup without smog pump

I'm looking for a serpentine belt setup from a '94+ Chevy SB without the smog pump option. I have a '89 truck setup to trade if interested. The setup is one entire piece unlike new systems with two brackets. I want the two piece system without the smog pump option since my '83 does not require a smog pump. I've been looking on www.ebay.com but all systems so far are from cars or trucks with smog pump options. I may resort to the dealer if I can't find any used pieces.

Cant help you much more than just info, but:
I recently picked up an '89 TBI engine with
serpentine brackets...with two main brackets.
Pass-side holds the R-4 A/C compressor,
idler-arm and has provisions for an air-pump,
which is not there. The drivers side holds
the alternator and p/s pump.
But in scouting the yards, I ran across the
pass-side bracket with-out the extra flange
to mount the air pump, which I am going to go back this weekend and see if I cant get
it. I did get the casting number off of it
and inquired at the dealer as to the cost,
i think it was around 90.00 for just that
piece. I dont have the p/n handy but if you
email me, i can get them to you.
The peice without the air pump flange is a
much cleaner and nicer looking piece.
Just keep looking, you'll run across something with the right price.
I converted my (do i dare say it) mustang over from v-belt to serpentine when my
alternator failed and got all the parts from
a salvage-yard mustang for 100bucks, that
was a good deal. There is a picture of that
engine on my website.
GoodLuck,

BubbaGreen,

Thanks for the reply. The part numbers for the brackets are these
Alternator/power steering pump #10233233
A/C side without the smog pump is #10118751. Priced locally the parts cost about $70-75 each!!
I took the parts numbers off my brother's '94 V-6 truck. I have guy who e-mailed me over the weekend that claims to have the parts. Since I've pieces most of the parts together with the exception of the compressor and powersteering pump, I'm going to make him an offer. If I can get it then the 88-89 single serpentine bracket with most bolts is going up on the board or ebay.

Yep, thats the same part numbers I have. Hopefully I can make it out this week to
get the non-air-pump bracket...10118751.
and not pay 70.00bucks, new from gm is 85.47
Got the above number off of a '93 truck.
(dont know if that will help widen your
search, but sounds like you know exactly
what you need)
The R4 compressor/air pump bracket I have
is p/n 10129515...without the airpump of
course.
Make sure if you get the bracket for the
alt and p/s pump, to get the bracket that
goes on the back side of the p/s pump and
connects to the #1 cylinder exhaust manifold
for support. I dont know the p/n for this,
but its a stamped steel piece.

BubbaGreen,

I know exactly what I need. I know what you mean about the alt/exhaust support bracket. I asked for it but I may end up using a single bar type bracket to just one exhaust manifold bolt instead of two. Are you gonna connect the bracket near the A/C to the first bolt on the intake on the #1 side? What about the other bracket directly behind the A/C to the intake manifold.

Its been four days and I've not heard back from the person who e-mailed me over the weekend. May end up looking again.
This will make you drool. http://georgiasyty.com/images/Complete.jpg

Hey, give this a try...
www.gmpartsdirect.com
The above p/n 10118751 is only 61.27
delivered to your door (if you want to purchase a new one).

As far as the backside p/s-alt bracket, I
am planning to install it, I modified it to
use only one bolt of the manifold as I am
installing Ramhorn style exhausts...it works
great..I will probably also install the
A/C compressor brackets (two of them) to the
intake, mainly just because I have them. I
have seen lots of engines without, so dont thinks its a huge deal. Just had the alt checked out....working ok and its rated at 105Amps.
Hope to get some pics before I actually get this thing installed.

Sure, I could handle a couple BEvERaGeS...:-)
I think they have some rather good prices,
but have noticed there shipping charges are
rather high, but still usually cheaper than
other places on the 'total'. One thing thats
nice is the ability to find out if the item
is even available. Seems there 'list' price
matches that of the dealers.
Anyway, glad to have helped ya. GOODLUCK

BubbaGreen,

Have you looked at the conversion setup from http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...d=896&pid=8223
The alternator/power steering bracket seems to be more sturdy. This new design might eliminate the requirement for the exhaust bracket. I'm going my local dealer and look at both '94 bracket and the one in the kit. If the kit bracket is more sturdy I'm buying it to match the '94 A/C bracket without the smog pump. These two brackets should help eliminate extra support brackets. I'm convinced with the parts and the website posted I'm selling the one piece 88-89 setup I have now. The new parts will just have less bracket to deal with and be a simpler installation.

That *was* what I was going to purchase...the
whole kit that is. I only have a very dark
black and white FAX of the system...I havent
looked all that closely at the brackets. But
since I got the set up I have with the motor. I will most likey (for now) just go ahead and
install it. With a bracket for the R4/idler-arm
without the flanges for the the air-pump. ...Do you have a better pic of the above set-up...the website you listed doesnt have pics, only a parts list..
Thanks,
