Common sense cleaning and polishing ideas;

Try using a majic eraser. I steal the wifes cleaning supplies on a regular basis, and cleaning my windows has always been a chore, partially because i am a smoker, and chain smoke while driving my truck. These cheap, and stupid little erasers work great and reomove all the haze. Give it a shot!!
When it comes to polishing, Mothers mag and aluminum polish can be your best friend!!!

don't use the Magic Eraser on any thing painted. It will scratch, regardless of what the box says.

I used to be a window washer in my younger days. Water and TSP, w/a squeege would clean the inside windows of a dunkin donuts (pre non-smoking days) on the 1st attempt. Since real TSP is NLA, I use warm water and a drop or 2 of dawn soap. I still use a squeege, a sponge, newspaper (non glossy) to dry up the splatter and polish the glass.

Yes that is true, magic erasers WILL just drag any lose dirt or grime across a nicely painted finish. Overall for interior windows they are great. Good point!

gojo hand cleaner has thounds of uses// leather upholstery,wiring looms, vaccume lines , rugs, doorpanels steering wheels

plastix cleaner polish by mcguires
is a great cheap product to use on plastic and plexiglass based parts

brillo scouring pads a great chep product to start the cleanup and polishing process of aluminium and chrome parts

invisble glass by stoner the best glass cleaner i've used 100X better than windex

cornstarch a good chheap product to compound old dull oxidized dingy paint prior to a coat of wax

Simple green will work wonders on dirty interior parts.

Fine steel wool (S.O.S. pads) are great to clean glass with. Even removes light overspray.... News paper and/or coffee filters with your choice of glass cleaner, for that streak free shine.

Magic Erasers are awesome for cleaning up things as are SOS pads.

I use California Customs step one and purple polish for dull aluminum and just the purple to shine em. Once you get them to your liking you can get by with just the purple. The best and easiest I have found and I have just about tried all of them. I do have a lot of wheel to polish. 16.5x12's.
