I got your order canceled, and it's not going to ship. I'll get your refund out when I get back in town.

Thanks to everyone involved in this great deal on these rims,

Of course, that doesn't jibe with what AEW said in their email to me yesterday about them being "available now" but I'll take Marcus's word over the email. He had all my info in their system, knew I already had the rears, etc. so he wasn't just talking out of his @$$.
Yea everything Marcus told me was spot on.

He instantly remembered the name of the business he sent my wheels to as soon as I told him my name.

He took down my phone number and told me he would track my wheels and call me back in a few minutes.

He called back @ 15 minutes later and told me that they had shipped and would be delivered on Tuesday and offered to give me the tracking number before I had a chance to ask for it.

The wheels showed up yesterday as promised.

The funny thing is that Eagle replied today to a email I sent them Monday morning asking for the status on my order before I knew to call Marcus.

They told me to contact my dealer

Sweet,

If you don't have one already you will need a thin wall socket to fit these rims.

I got one from Napa for my 13/16" lugnuts.

Thank you VERY VERY much! ill keep an eye on my account to see when i get refunded. and to clarify, I'm not getting my refund because of anything going on with the shipping or anything. The truck is just for sale so there is no reason to throw a brand new set of wheels on it.

I'll second that. Some lug nuts are too big to let any socket fit so be aware of that. My first set from O'Reillys had that problem. I got some that work from Pep Boys. They were in a box with 4 locks, 16 nuts, and 4 valve stems. Gorilla Wheel I think was the brand. Worked great.

I called Marcus today. He told me I was at the top of his list for chrome 20x 8.5 wheels, but asked that I be patient for another 2 1/2 to 3 three weeks.

I ordered McGard. They are triple plated chrome and garanteed never to chip, even when using an impact. Comes with locks, nuts, valve stems and thin walled sockets. Just hope the diameter isn't too large. It was either these or the Gorilla's but Gorilla didn't state they had a garantee not to chip or rust.

Strut,

Would you please post a picture of your truck from the rear.

I'd like a better look at those 315's

I'm planning on going with the same setup you have,

Thanks

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

I know most guys on here like the 20in rims. I'm just curious if anyone purchased 4 of the 18X8? or even the staggered 18in set. What size tires are you or going to run? I got mine in recently but haven't bought any tires yet. My son's truck isn't lowered at all right now, but thinking of 2.5 X 4 static. We want some tires with side wall, not too low profile. Anyway, if you have any pictures of your truck I would sure like to see what your tires look like with these rims. any help? thanks

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

Well even more time has past with extremely poor communication and has made me loose all faith that sublvr72 will get me these wheels. Ive sent him numerous pm and had only had one response and nothing since and that was at the time he responded here. I in fact want refund now no other option will please me, Im done dealing with a person that has this little respect for his costumers. If by Monday I haven't heard by him Im calling the credit card this time and letting them deal with this BS.

Have you tried calling him or Marcus at AEW? Phone numbers for both are posted in the past couple of pages of this thread. PMs are fine if you don't need a response right away, but sometimes nothing beats an old-fashioned phone call. If Marcus @ AEW doesn't have your order in the system and/or can't give a satisfactory explanation as to the whereabouts of your wheels, then by all means contact the credit card company and dispute the charge.

Not defending anyone's lack of response to PMs, just saying that a phone call or two might be a better option in this case.

yes he never answers. The thing is that he has my wheels himself. Because they wouldnt send them to Canada he had them sent to him and then he would ship them to me, so really I dont think AEW has any part in this now. Otherwise I wouldve called AEW like the rest of you did and got my wheels lol

Oh, well that's entirely different. Check your PMs in a couple minutes.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

How is everyone getting front center caps to fit? I just put 18's on my truck, and machined down front rotors. But the cap still is pushed out by dust cap on rotor. What is the fix to this, find smaller dust cap and cut clips of wheel center cap and silicone on?? Any help would be appreciated, thanks Jason

If you look through both threads you'll see that people are cutting down the clips on the center caps for the 18s. There are pics somewhere.

Just got back in town again, sorry for the delay in response I forgot my laptop power supply so I didn't have access to the net all week. I'm an independent contractor for a company and I'm on call to be sent just about anywhere. Just fyi, HID Solutions is a part time gig for me so, unfortunately from time to time it ends up on the back burner while I have to go out of town. It has nothing to do with having little respect for customers, it's something I operate in my free time, which recently I haven't had a whole lot of. In the PM reply back to you I explained that I've already paid $300 in postage to get your wheels to you and it keeps coming back to me. You've explained that fedex won't ship to your area so as long as I can get the $300 in postage back from fedex I have no problem refunding your order.
