Are these Power Steering Adapter Plates still available?? Is so, please help with how and where to order, costs, etc. I believe this is what I need to mount power steering box to my 1967 GMC frame.

I will be getting a 66 swb frame to convert my long 72 Chevy to short bed. I believe I will be needing one of this plates soon. I will pm you when I am ready.

I am wondering if there may be other things I may need to consider to make this frame fit my conversion.

That is correct. You will need an adapter plate to install power steering on that '66 frame.

To install your '72 body onto that '66 frame, the rear cab mounts will need to be moved, down I believe. The radiator support brackets on the frame will need to be moved. The front frame horns are different for the different bumper. And the '66 frame will have the radiator support crossmember, whereas your '72 has just a crossmember at an angle. Those are the only things that I can think of that will need changed

will be needing ps for a 66 2wd suburban 230ci...once i source the pump and box what/where do i get the bracket to mount the pump to my engine? also when i convert to disc brakes and dropped spindles at a later date what if anything will i need to change from a steering aspect/relation to this 1st mod??

If you can't find an original power steering pump bracket assembly from a 250, there is a guy on ebay selling nice fabricated brackets.

Upgrading to disc brakes has no effect on the steering box or pitman arm. When you do convert to disc brakes, I always recommend changing the entire steering linkage to the later model components. You will have to drill the holes to bolt up the later model idler arm, but this way all the steering components are of the same vintage, and there is no need for the expensive tierod adapters.

I finally got around to getting this swap done...awesome product, and the template makes the whole thing easy. Lined up with no issues at all. Actually, I had more trouble tracking down a set of brackets to mount the pump than anything else. So thanks again!
