*Car/Truck List Over The Years*

I don't know if this has been listed before so if it has my bad. Show a list of all the cars/trucks you have had over the years other than your daily drivers. I think it would be nice to see what everyone has had over the years and you may have to stop and think. Pics would be nice. Here is my short list.

1) 1937 Ford Truck
2) 1949 Chevy 5 Window Truck
3) 1955 Chevy 210
4) 1957 Chevy 210
5) 1957 Studebaker
6) 1963 Chevy II Nova
7) 1964 Ford Mustang
8) 1965 Ford Mustang
9) 1966 Ford Truck short bed
10) 1969 Chevy Camaro
11) 1972 Chevy Camaro

Re: *Car/Truck List Over The Years*

I cheated a little here and included some daily drivers because on more than one occasion some of these classics have been used as dailies. I interpreted that as no modern cars so I left them off. I went ahead and included motorcycles on this list. Not as impressive as some but not bad considering I am only 30.
1. 1969 Nova
2. 1987 Cutlass
3. 1978 Malibu
4. 2002 Suzuki GZ250
5. 1984 Chevy Silverado
6. 1972 Chevy K10
7. 1987 Monte Carlo SS T-top Burgandy
8. 1974 Nova
9. 1986 Monte Carlo SS T-top Black
10. 1985 Monte Carlo SS Burgandy
11. 1978 Malibu
12. 1979 Malibu (parts car)
13. 1986 Monte Carlo SS White
14. 1957 Chevy 210 4 door wagon
15. 1956 Chevy Belair 2 door sedan
16. 1998 Suzuki Marauder
17. 1957 Chevy 150 2 door sedan
18. 2005 Yamaha V-star 1100
19. 1985 Monte Carlo (parts car)
20. 1956 Chevy 210 2 door sedan
21. 1992 Ford Model T coupe

I have always kept a list of all vehicles I have owned including mine and the wife's modern dailies; the number is currently sitting at 30 which is the same as my age. I like to look at the data and extrapolate things from it. Like the average year of all the car on my list is 1983, the average year of the cars I currently own is 1969. The total list includes 18 Chevy, 5 of which are Monte Carlos (my namesake), and 9 g-bodies which was my go-to platform for 10 years, although now I am a tri5 guy.

It's easier for me to just post a link to my cars and trucks page than to list them all.

This one has a 350/350 with air and a tilt wheel. It is a blast to drive and we drive it a lot.

Re: *Car/Truck List Over The Years*

Some of you guys have some pretty impressive list. I like looking at the old pics. For some years now I've been more parcel to the older 1950 and older classics but I like them all. I always wanted a 1935-36-37 Ford 3 window coupe just could not afford one unless it was a project. Just never had enough room like I wanted for a project.

I got a buddy like that, he has, and has had, some real nice "project" cars over the years.

He gets all amped up about a "score" talks smack about what he's going to do to it and next thing you know it's sold and he's onto the next big "score".

He always seems to make a profit....

Re: *Car/Truck List Over The Years*

Well, sorry - every vehicle I have or ever had while not all were "daily drivers" in the normal sense were acquired for some purpose and I have never yet owned a vehicle just for a "collection" or a toy. Maybe someday I suppose …

For example my 1958 Chevy boom truck was repurposed as a log yarder. It might not get driven more than a half mile at a time during a season but it would be set up and idling all day long to run the PTO winch. It would be a heck of a classic and collector's item now but I had to trade it off because I no longer had a place to store it. I'm not sure what happened to it but it probably got shot to heck by vandals. I do know that my 1965 GMC log truck/loader went to a chainsaw carver for a yard truck just to move around big logs, and got burned up in a forest fire

Re: *Car/Truck List Over The Years*

'37 La Salle coupe. Big black thing
'61 Studebaker Lark VIII convertible
'64 Malibu SS 283 w/ powerglide and AC. Stone immaculate. I sold it to a used car guy and his son totaled it.
'65 GTO Post car 389 tripower, 4-speed and 4.33 rear gears. pretty quick
'69 Camaro RS 327 with a 4-speed. I miss this one too. My 1st 140 MPH car
'73 Nova.
'66 Le Mans with a Ram Air III 400 Judge motor and a 400 THM. Tire smoke, anyone? My second 140 MPH car- blew it up
'65 Malibu 300 I put a 327 and a 350 THM in it. My third 140 MPH car; man those tickets were expensive
'63 Dart slant 6. must have been bred from a stone and another Dodge. Damn, that thing was slow.
'64 Impala convertible, special HP 327 4 speed and 3.90 rear gears. Blew up the trans and the rear, rebuilt
the whole car. nice ride

Got married here- 1981

'69 Nova 250 CI 6 with a PG. good speed and mileage This was the wife's first car.
'73 Vega coupe
'72 Vega panel wagon I put a GT engine it it. It had the "performance" axle- a 3.36. B&M shift kit. for a little 4-banger that little critter could get with the program.
'71 Vega wagon with a 283. Fun!
There are about 20 more Vegas in here that I'm not going to cover. I used to buy these things for $100 to $300 with popped engines. I'd fix them (top of the line- new radiator, rebuilt short block with steel sleeves, valve job, full tuneup, etc. I could flip one in a day, and made $500 on average. I did this to make ends meet after I got married- I was still in University then. At one point I had 7 of them in various stages of dismemberment. Must be why the landlord asked me to move...

'56 Chevy 210 wagon. I completely fixed this one up with nice paint, upholstery, A/C, B&M trans, etc. Wife got tired of it, sold it, got...ewww
'82 Caprice wagon
'83 Chevy Celebrity
'85 Pontiac Parisienne wagon
'65 Le Mans convertible...sold to make the mortgage in '92.
'88 Celebrity wagon with a V-6. Got rear ended, shortened up a foot by a Bronco. I still have trouble with my neck, that was in '97.
'82 Regal. It must have interbred with that '63 Dart somewhere in its ancestry. Boy was it a stone. Something wrong with that one for sure. It replaced the shortened Celebrity. It eventually failed SMOG for the second time and I donated it to a charity, since it was going to cost more than it was worth to fix.
'72 Lemans 400 with a 400 THM. Split a heater hose and roasted it before I could pull over. Turned out to be a real rustbucket underneath. I had put a 305 Chevy with a 700 4(R) in it. Gutted it for disc brakes, etc,
for the
'68 Skylark California GS. I eventually went back to Buick power many years later, but then sold it.
2000 Astrovan for the wife in 2000.
2005 Corolla in 2004. Had to quit killing the Buick on the 405 freeway. I expected the Corolla to pay for itself in lowered fuel costs by the time it has 150,000 miles on it. I spent 15k on it. It had $7k worth of repair work done to it, almost all under warranty.

Years are mixed here.

'75 Dart that my eldest son totaled within 2 weeks of getting his driver's license.
'88 Olds Cutlass that replaced that '75 Dart. had about 3 accidents with it. ruined a couple of years later. Leaked oil and he wouldn't check it. He walked/rode a bike/bus/bummed rides for about 3 years.
'70 Dart. Came cheap with a slant six with a rod like a pretzel. That was for the 2nd son.
'70 Chevy 3/4 ton truck. Inherited from my father in law. Bad way to get a truck, he was really a nice guy.

Now I have a 2016 Kia Forte and the wife drives a 2105 Kia Soul. We still have the truck and the '05 Corolla.

Looks about like 61 in total, though with the Vegas that time of possession could have been as short as 2 weeks, and the number of 20 is a WAG.

Oh, yeah- I also had a '75 Dodge Coronet that I bought for $47, drove for a couple years and sold for $400. That was before the '88 Celebrity. I bet if I sit down and go over the list again, there are probably a few more lurking.
