Got my LMC catalog today, your truck looks great!

Its weird that even though most of us have never met it still feels like one of "our guys" makes it big whenever one of you gets a cover! Very cool!

Re: Project: Blank Slate

Did LMC do some photoshop work to Nate's truck?

It looks like the mirror stands have been changed to "chrome",... and the headlights look different.
Why would they do that to such a beautiful truck?
I'm not sure I like that.

Keith... that was one of the things I picked up one first thing. Mirror stands and the headlights are the only thing I can tell from the pic that are not "correct" for the truck as it sits today. Unfortunately if they don't sell it (why you can't paint chrome mirror stands ) or what to market it (headlights) they'll change it.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to pick up on those subtle changes. You know the truck as well as I do.

Re: Project: Blank Slate

tcb-1 was kind enough to start a thread when he discovered my truck was on the cover of LMC and posted the following shot of the magazine; amazing quality of the copy in my opinion.

Thanks Doug!

Re: Project: Blank Slate

Also... I was going through some pics today and ran across these.

Now, I've said how cool this process was but these pics will show you how they 'built' the cover. The talent for this shoot and creation of the cover is amazing. They took about 5 shots to create the shadows and light transitions to accomodate the runway/sunset background.

Kind of an inside look to graphic design...

Look closely at how the light changes, reflections, etc.
