After 10 years finally start 65 c10 swb fleet

Started many years ago. I finally started. After 10 years of buying and saving for parts I got my 65 in the garage and started restoration. Over weekend got bumpers off and seat and carpet out. Some parts are on way to media strippers. Enjoy the time and relaxation working on the old girl.

Good looking truck man, although I'm not familiar with the leaf spring setup, was that a camper setup? Have fun with your project, started my 65 short stepper a few months back.

Not sure looks like a helper spring of some kind. I'm going to sell them once I start on the chassis.

I'm doing a Porterbuilt stage 2 rear with mild drop member up front. I have a big block I'd like to put in it but might go with a small block. Have some pieces at the boasters now but I am getting the whole body and frame blasted.

Got motor and tranny pulled out. Fit front sheet metal on. Removed all glass but windshield. Most of the interior parts removed. Getting ready to pull cab off the frame. Got bed back from the media blaster. I won't get much done for next 2-3 weeks I am getting ready for my trip to Wyoming for an antelope and mule deer hunt.

Doors off and cab stripped only thing to pull out is windshield then ready to pull. Then off to the media blaster. Normal cancer for a north east truck.

Yup, that there is rust. Sorry for the four letter word.
Been there. Done that.
