Let me introduce myself!

Hello boys and girls!

I'm from SW Michigan and just bought a real nice 1972 3/4 ton 4WD.
it has a lift kit, 36 inch tires, very nice IMO.

i had some questions and goggled them, it lead me here, so i joined.

I'll post some pics tonight of it.

looking forward to asking some questions!
(and i have a few)
Thanks!

Re: Let me introduce myself!

Been using this truck as a reference for a while! This is pretty much exactly what I'm attempting to build out of a '72 C/20 Longhorn. Mines gonna have 1 ton running gear 6" lift with 35" BFG Mud Terrains and eventually a 454. So far so good, just about getting ready to put it all back together.

Re: Let me introduce myself!

Awesome!
I've been driving it maintenance free all summer.
I've also owned some cool cars throughout my life.
Let me tell you, I have never owned anything that get this much attention, people follow me until I stop top take a look at it.
I get a complement almost every time I drive it.

Thank You too.

Re: Let me introduce myself!

The bed is metal. It has a liner and a box cover now.
I can take some pics of the interior.
I spent allot of time putting the inteior back to stock. I assembled a cluster and have all the factory gauges working. Even put in a stock am radio.

There is a raido CD player in the glovebox, 600 watt amp and speakers under the seat, it rocks!

Re: Let me introduce myself!

Sounds sweet!

Mine is a wood bed, its all original down to the paint with 60,000 original miles.

I plan on building my own Highliner style sound system sometime down the road but keeping the original stereo working also.

I started a build thread if you wanna follow link is in the signature
