Zymurgy, eh? Excellent! I've been a homebrewer for nearly a decade. My favorite beer? Abita Springs' Turbodog. Now I know we're gonna have to do a Minnesota get-together!

Hockey players who drive 67-72 Chevy trucks drink Molson Canadian! Going to play hockey at 10:15 tonight and immediately afterwards we booze. Our team motto:

We or Loose We always Booze!

I can't get Abita Brewing Company products here, but when I can get my hands on it again, I might be able to swing some your way. Back when I wrote for the Southwest Brewing News, I ran into these guys at a festival in Arkansas. Most of the crowd flocked to the big name brews. I spent a fair amount of my time suckling the teat of a 5 gallon "corny" keg of Turbodog. Mmmm... been my favorite beer ever since.

I could use the quote button on at least three responses.

shuttermutt: I just brewed more Lindstrom Lager (my own creation) last night. It will be ready to drink in about a month.

Longhorn Man: A good friend of mine always has a flask of Wild Turkey in his saddle bag. I keep a bottle under the sink "just in case he stops by" (works with the wife).

ChevyDude: One of the last men's teams I played on was sponsored by a bar. "Happy hour" on one sleeve of our sweaters "is every hour" on the other. A good friend of mine met his wife there. Don't get me started telling stories about that place.

It's a cornelius keg. Put simply, it's the 5-gallon keg used to dispense Coke at your favorite soda fountain. They're popular with homebrewers since they're relatively cheap, they will fit a "standard" batch of brew, and they're easy to sanitize.
