Re: Out of Hibernation...... With Pics!

I have an idea to mount the cooler ,but it would involve drilling holes through the bed floor. You could fabricate a couple or trhree clamps, similar to battery hold down clamps,to tighten against that lip around the bottom of the cooler. Would that work?

Re: Out of Hibernation...... With Pics!

we're going to have to start a separate thread just for the coolers and old school pinstriping! that's a nice one, C-10. I have my eye on a couple on the bay right now as well.

post pics when you get it striped.

Re: Out of Hibernation...... With Pics!

Great looking truck, have you thought about upgrading from points to HEI? You get a better spark and you can pick them up at your local wreckers for 30 to 40 $. My 1970 swb fleet runs and is easer to time with it.

I have a few things in mind as well, so looks like she will be keeping busy all day long.

Re: Out of Hibernation...... With Pics!

Doug, I really dig your comment earlier where you said an old man told that if it wasn't a show truck to at least make it interesting to look at. I personally prefer your truck to a show truck. You have good taste and your truck has some cool character because of your choices. It is one of my favorite trucks on the forum. Show trucks are just too clean.. almost sterile. Not that I'd kick one out of my garage bay or anything though.
