Radiator question

Hi folks:
I'm installing a new engine in my truck C10 69 350 engine
and I need your help where can I find a new radiator 4 row.
I saw some aluminum on ebay and amazon but I/m not sureb if they fit.

If you go aluminum make sure its top of the line with no epoxy used, all tig welded. You will find threads on here about failures and what not to do.

If you still have your old one, it can be rebuilt. I have mine done for about 4 benjamins. I love that thing. All brass and copper.

What’s your budget like? Most of the cheap aluminum radiators are just that, cheap. Stay away from Griffen, they are epoxy welded and leak like a sieve. I run a Holley frostbite and I’ve been pleased with it. I’ve also heard good things about the champion aluminum radiators. I believe Arizona performance sells them. I’m sure someone with a champion will chime in (Andy maybe?)

I bought a 2 row from cold case for my truck. Pretty much a stock 350ci. My Chevelle I have a DeWitts HP series made in Michigan its also a two row with twin fans and I'm running a Mark Jones big block with 650 hp. Never gets hot . By a good brand. Why do you need a 4 row?

Today’s 2 rows have more cooling capacity than the old 4 rows. With aluminum they can make each row larger.

1.-I stiil have the old one. = I could rebuilt it (is brass made)
2.-Holley frostbite
3.-Champion aluminum radiators.
With this choices now I'm starting to look at the websites and if is possible to find it locally in San Diego.
Budget? well I saw one for about 4 grands and a half brass an cooper and its in my budget but with your advice I want to make the right choice. I already spent a lot a money building the engine and I know is very importan to have a good cooling system.
In case I decided for Champion I want to ask LEDZPP if He is using 2, 3 or for rows?

CC369 is the part number, it is a three row. Their distribution center is in Lake Elsinore if you want to save on shipping and get it at the counter.

CC369 w/fan kit. Then get your harness from board member. Way less than your 4 grand jeez.

Don't spend that kind of money on a cooling setup unless your going Baja racing or something.

The cold case (vender here) was under 500 $ with the shroud , fans and wiring harness at the syracuse show . I did buy the early version because it was 275$ . Haven't put it in the truck yet, the original is working fine for now. Never heated up doing 75 going and coming from Carlisle in 90° heat. I bought The cold case so if the original craps the bed I have one in the shelf. The DeWitts was about 1000$ Complete. Both have lifetime warranties. Would never spend 4k on a radiator.

Except no-one within 200 miles of me does rebuilds anymore. I can't even get rotors cut at a machine shop anymore they can't be bothered. I'll make due with a lifetime warranty.

3 row all tig welded aluminum CH racing is who I ordered from, Champion are any other brand though should be just fine. I have 4 of them off E bay and not one problem. All 4 of them are 3 row's. They all fit fine. It's been in the truck for 4 years and no problems. That's 2 HRPT of 6000 miles on it to, plus day driving.

My truck runs 180* while moving the fans never run. They will kick on when stopped and sitting for any amount of time.

Another endorsement for Champion. I've had mine in for a while now, was the last link in the chain to get the temps down on my sb400. Has performed admirably. They also come with a no questions asked lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. That's gotta be worth something right there.

I tried to order the champion but the sales person said that He did not understand what I wanted I Gave him the number part but this guy was rude.
That’s why I ordered the frostbite radiator from HOLLEY no shipping charge and almost same price. I will place a picture when I receive it

I replaced them with new ones, they were aluminum also. I believe made by Spectra, or possibly 4 Seasons...not sure though. Heater cores seem to leak just as much as radiators, and are much more of a pain to change out I fired up a project truck a while back and while the radiator held up the heater core puked all over the cab floor.

OP, glad you have a new radiator on the way! Post up a pic when it arrives

If you install any kind of new rad and do not change out or rebuild the heater core it becomes the weak link and in all likelyhood an untouched original will start leaking very soon after the the new rad is installed.
