Clint, looks like your perches are good and the plate on the engine too. i think you just need the rubber mount like I do. I am also looking for the alternative part.

Bob, nice photos

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

Thanks guys. Rick the 67 needs the right door and paint first. LOL

Jud if you find something let me know.

I started looking more at the paint on my truck. I can see white below the trim also. The truck was white on top, blue in the middle, and white on bottom. I think it would look good back in those colors.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

I got my rear view bracket today. Thank you Bill.

I also took a pic of the white paint that I found. I thought that the white was on top of the blue, but it is not. The white was there first and the blue was sprayed sometime later during a repaint.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

hmmmm i was told that you could not have white below the trim on a 67 but a 68 you could a 2 tone in 67 looks like this the white doesnt go down on the pillars on the left and right on the window or on the doors just to let you know...at least that is what i believe..... oh well the truck looks great just a little work and the original door should be good to go!

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

Yeah Rick the white is above the drip rail only. Im still not sure on the white below the trim. I will do some more close looking at the truck later.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

Here is some info on the power steering setup, it is 67 only. Bob was right about the Cal smog pump. You can send your motor mounts into Steel Rubber to have them refurbished. I also included a picture of the rear springs. That is how mine looked when I bought it. Only 2 springs.

Thanks for the pics Erl. That ps diagram is what Jud has on his 67. I would love to find that setup for mine. That v6 is heavy.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

Rick I have not had time to do much. I greased all of the front steering components. Mostly I have been driving it everyday between my house and my shop. It is only about a mile and a half, but the truck is made to drive. That is the fun part.

When I get more time I am going to get the engine mounts all fixed. Then I am going to switch that bent bedside and do something with the green door.

Your truck looks like a great truck. No rust at all. You need to tell us more about it. How did it start out? Any before pics?

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

67 SWB Nevada truck air cab, bought from a board member. Original v-6 4 speed. I have made it a 400 sb turbo 400/205. Other than the motor change I'm keeping it stock suspension. Needed a small repair to the frame, a front axle was bent, rockers on cab were crushed so they were replaced. Shaved the original trim. Every bit of this truck was media blasted then hand sanded again before being epoxy coated and then painted. Tons of blocking on the panels to make them perfect. Have yet deciced on a color, leaning towards a green I seen on Tim Christensens 67 GMC. Will put vintage air in instead of stock air. Here is a picture of it as I bought it. Happy to share Thankyou for making me feel welcome. John

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

John,

Nice truck. did you get a build sheet or SPID with your truck? I've got a similar 67 but lwb. Is your truck a custom or CST? I'm looking for another example of Custom script badging on a 67.

Jud

Jud I do not remember all the facts on this truck. I'll get a picture of the spid if there is one next time I'm outworking on it. John

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

That is a nice truck. Same color as Jud's, but a swb like mine. Jud it was not a super custom because it does not have the chrome emblem on the side. I guess it should have a custom emblem like yours does.

John, was yours built in Fremont CA also?

BTW- I have never seen a '67 GMC pickup with a SPID. My truck never had one.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

Can anyone help me out? I am trying to get my 68 gmc 351e v6 to idle. I don't know if the vaccum lines are hooked up correctly. Is there a place I can get a diagram of where all the lines go to?
