Re: Garrett's '63 Stepside -- Murder Truck -- Build

We had a 4" cowl hood, but it just didn't look right, so we decided to make a 4" cowl out of the 'existing hood'.

What do you guys think?

Here's the stance after installing 2" drop springs. The rear will set a little lower once the new diamond plate steel bed is installed...

Here's Garrett removing the old tail lights.

We have something really cool in store for this. Coming soon...

We're getting things ready for the new diamond plate bed.

Also, we've decided to mount the fuel cell under the bed...

We're gutting out the interior.

We like the way that B&M shifter looks.

Garrett's decided to stick with the original bench seat...

Good call, when my dad and I were building my first car and I said I wanted buckets seats, he said no you don't want to do that, then the girls get too far away from you My Dad, always thinkin...

Great project, I always have a soft spot for the father/son builds as mine had such a lasting impact on me...and I still have/love the car 20 years later, Nothing makes you appreciate a vehicle like building it yourself

Did you have to trim the bezel to get the gauges to fit. I have the same bezel and gauges and had to trim the two big holes.

Nope. Didn't have to trim anything. Slid right in place.

It's funny that you mention the 'girl' thing, because that is the exact reason he wants the bench seat now. haha
