Re: 68 c10 6.5 turbo diesel

Got some work done. I finally got the Fluid Damper and installed it. Crank pulley is installed so is the fan and the spacer. My buddy machined this spacer to my specs to get the fan were I wanted it. The spacer also adapts due to the wp hub being 3/4's and the fan pilot is 5/8's he made it very precise. I got the belt ran finally so that wraps up the front of the engine. I mounted the oil fill with new grommet in timing cover. I also welded a v band flange to the top intake and installed it. I have the ceramic coating for the exhaust manifolds I still have to finish them. I also installed the timing tab.

Looking good. Is there not enough room for a fan clutch, or did you just not want to use one?

Re: 68 c10 6.5 turbo diesel

Here are some pics of what I have done lately. The first pic is the circuit breaker for the glow plugs. Next is the oil pressure gauge line. The rest is the exhaust cross over I made and the v band flange I welded on to the turbo. I still need to ceramic coat the cross over and put the bottom connecting flange on.

Here is the turbo finally mounted, heat shield on, and turbo drain and oil supply line done. I also wired up all the glow plugs and made my own harness and in cased it in a heat sleeve good for 2000 deg.
