Here a few pics of my 83 C20 Silverado 454 V8. One owner truck. All original. Haven't done anything to it yet as I just bought it. Love the truck but am not crazy about those mirrors (handy for towing though) and running boards

Here is my 1984 CUCV. Swapped out the 6.2 for a 454 and built some bumpers.

Jvsapp - the front has 2 1/2 Ground force drop spindles from Summit Racing and new stock height springs with one cut coil. the rear i just removed the factory bumpstops and used the red round ones in my djm 5" kit also from Summit. the rear rides like a cadillac...but the tops of the front tires rub the top of my inner fender if i hit a decent bump cruisin down the road. i have 255/50-15's on it all around...needs like a 255/35-15 up front to drop the front down just a hair.

up next is new thicker front and rear sway bars...motor and transmission and rear-end after...

the first picture is the rear pass. side...havent bottomed out yet driving on the houston roads...the second is is pic that its true, you can have a 2 1/2" drop spindle with a 15" wheel without any control arm clearance issues, which i was quite worried about when i bought them...

Why in the world would you swap out a 6.2 for a 454?!?!?

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Looks very nice with the matching colors on the horse trailer! That is what my 83 does for a living, pulling a horse trailer to shows every weekend

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Yes it was just luck we found the trailer that matched....
Used it today to bring 1 of our yearlings to the vet... good times

She has lil rust.... I believe he had it a garage for most of its life... but the rust is there...
Minnesota isnt an ideal place to have a nice daily driver...

Red long bed

1979, 20k miles.

Under pressure from my brothers I took it 4 wheeling this last weekend for the first time ever. It actually did pretty well in the sand, though I wouldn't follow the jeeps down the tight trails.

And of course, being the way I am, I went a little overboard cleaning out all the sand.

Mods include 5" lift and 35" all terrains. Yup, thats about it.
