What is it worth

This is my first post so go easy on me. I have found a 1972 Shot Box Fleetside P/U with what the owner says is a 307cu in small block. It runs on 7 cyl, not sure were the problem lies? Truck is a southern truck and very little rust. No air No PB but has PS. It has been lowered with blockes in back and I'm not sure how the front is lowered? It has been repainted and is faded pretty bad. Interior is okay but nothing special. He is asking $4500.00 and was wondering if this sound right. Thanks

Welcome to the board. It is hard to say without pics how much the truck is worth.Where I live Short trucks are hard to come by.From your explaination I would not give $4500 for it.There are more knowledgable people here that will most likely speak up.

I bought my truck from the south and paid less than that and from your description mine sounds to be in better shape. Therefore, I would likely not pay that much for the truck you found. If you are brave you can always try eBay, or at least get estimations of what trucks are going for.

Welcome to teh board from Sacramento.

If you can't live without it buy it or offer them less money. You could be looking at putting another $4500 into it to get PB, AC, no rust, paint, another engine, and so mnay other neat things. These trucks love to spend your hard earned cash and precious time. Do the math. Add up teh money it will take to make this truck the way you want it then ask yourself if it is worth it. Only you can answer your question(s).
