Post 1/4 mile estimation

hows everyone doing tonight.... what a great message board this seems to be.... this is my first time dropping in.... i was wondering what kind of components and go fast goodies a lot of you are using in your pickups.... i have a 68 1/2 ton short bed pickup which i think has a serious shot at running the 1/4 mile in the high 13's or low 14's.... the drags are only a week away.... i cant wait.... anyway.... here are the specs... had her weighed just a few weeks ago.... can you believe only 3620 with me in the vehicle.... much lighter than i expected.... i figured 4000 at the lightest but i do have it stripped down pretty good.... she is equipped with a 350 producing a tad bit over 400 horse and 400 ft lbs of torque.... aluminum heads.... go fast goodies up and down.... B&M TH350 with 2400 stall converter.... an auburn pro limited slip in the rear along with richmond 4.10 gears will be spinning a pair of 30x11x15 radial drag slicks.... anyone with similar combinations ? this thing should turn some heads.... it is brand spanking new mechanically.... gotta love these old pickups.... wouldnt trade mine for a new one.... not a chance.... thanks to any responses

I have a 78 t/a with almost the same specs, except a 3500 stall & 29x9 slicks, it's best time 13.01 @102mph so you should be right in there,if your all tuned up. Good luck

Cool

well it will depend on how much traction you get, even with a posi, if you don't hook up you ain't gonna run worth a sh*t.. our drag nova is putting out 720 HP to 4.56 gears on a full spool goin to 32.5X11.5x15 and if she don't get a good bit our time goes all to hell, its iffy, if you hook, you verywell could go in mid to low 13's hope ur lucky!
oh and Ain't Racing FUN? :-D

It should run high 13's. What is the altitude in Pueblo? That might slow it down some.

Where are you running at? Bandimere? or a local strip? I'm at least a year away from getting my truck anywhere ready to run, but I might come and watch since I love seeing Mustangs getting smoked!

hello again everyone.... back home from work.... ill be racing at pueblo motorsports park here in pueblo colorado.... i suppose the altitude is between 4000 and 4500 ft.... too high of course but i dig riding my mountain bike way up there high on those single track trails above 7000 ft much better than riding on the beach LOL
