power steering

hey guys
anybody know what i can do to put ps on a 1950 3100,i got a custumer that wants me to do this.
i am really looking for a bolt on sytm. more that changing the whole frount end.
any help or links would be great,thanks in advance.

you're going to have to get a kit to do this, which will let you put a late model GM box on it & then either fab a p/s pump bracket or make a later model bracket fit. I believe RB's sells a kit for the p/s box for the p/s pump I would look at the small compact ones like on a chevy tracker, GM front wheel drive V6 cars & the ford probe, they all have small pumps & the probe's brackets are stamped steel but the other 2 are cast aluminum...........joe

sorry Todd but its Butch's Rod Shop at 2853 Northlawn Ave., Dayton Ohio 45439 phone## 937-298-3000--tech line 937-298-2665...My 5yr old book says it cost about $400 for the complete kit. I did a search for Butch's on the web & couldnt find a site, BUT if you do the same there are lots of folks who sell thier P/S kits or may even sell thier own. hope this helps you...joe
