What are these parts

Ughh... I lost track of where these two brackets (A & B) go back on my 1979 Blazer. I had them in a bin next to all the gas pedal assembly parts (that is the larger bracket to the left) so I figure they are part of the pedal assembly or nearby. Can anyone point out where these should go?

Re: What are these parts

a = brake rod to brake pedal safety tab . bolts to brake pedal arm to cover rod pin so if the clip comes out the rod wont fall off and no brakes .

b = if i recall is the little tab the steering column sadwiches in place to the dash frame support and a little hex head screw holds the dash to it to hold it from flopping .

Re: What are these parts

I got the brake safety tab in place (A) but still couldn't figure out where bracket (B) goes.

The tongue on bracket B has a small screw hole on it so it looks like a brace as you described it but I can't figure out the location.

Re: What are these parts

sandwiches between the inner dash / brake pedal frame and pedal assembly and then the steering column bolt up to it . sorry i dont have a install pic but here is the dash with the right side screw and tab out . notice the hex screw on left and hole open right . hope this gives you a idea .
