Re: 35x12.50-16.5 BFG's n slots for sale

I`m crossing my fingers on the shipping for HuggerCST.I don`t think my cost for shipping the wheels will kill it from my end.I can recieve them at a business if that makes a difference, zip 21701.

Re: 35x12.50-16.5 BFG's n slots for sale

Ok guys, I got one tire/wheel dug out last night and weighed it on my mother-in-laws bathroom scale.
They're heavier than I expected. 84lbs
Also measured it. 34-1/2 Dia, 13-1/4 wide

That would make a "package" measurement of, (2 tires/wheels), of 35x35x27 and 168lbs.

I'm running zip codes through DHL's website right now. I'll post the results in a few minutes.

I still have to find out if DHL is even an option for me though.

Re: 35x12.50-16.5 BFG's n slots for sale

Bad news guys, DHL won't accept the 168lbs, (online anyway).

I ran all the zip codes with only one tire/wheel (84lbs and 35x35x14) and here's the numbers;

70rs/ss zip 86034 business $54.14
HuggerCST zip 71272 business $50.54
Special-K zip 21771 $51.16
zip 21701 business $48.99
shelby987 zip 48198 $50.54

I'll have to call about the 168lbs and see what they say.

Re: 35x12.50-16.5 BFG's n slots for sale

Here's the dibs as I have them;

70rs/ss (Tires/wheels)
HuggerCST (Tires)
special-K (Tires?/wheels)
shelby987 (Wheels)
sakohntr (wheels)

If I have this wrong let me know.

Those who are interested in the tires/wheels together have 1st priority.
As I stated before, I don't want to seperate unless I have definate buyers for both. Tires absolutely have to sell first.
Another reason is it's 3 times as much work for me, (dismount, package twice, ship twice).
Reason 3, I'm not sure what to price each seperately, (tires/wheels).

I'll make sure and call DHL tomorrow and find out if they will accept 2 tires/wheels, (168lbs), or if I have to ship them each seperately.
They did answer my email and they will pick them up at my house. I think that costs extra though.

One more thing, I'll even go so far as to dismount 1 tire, (only cause they're 16.5's LOL), and get a weight on the wheel and tire seperately.

Looks like this deal might ride on HuggerCST's shoulders! Guilt trip...

Re: 35x12.50-16.5 BFG's n slots for sale

I am aware of the order here, as I have seen so many times, people end up deciding they either don't want the parts, or find the same parts closer/cheaper (I have been offered parts I was in line for 3 months after the fact), I was just trying to get my ducks in a row to be prepared should the people ahead of me pass. At this rate, I think I will give up my place in line to the person behind me, the headache required to figure all of this out is quickly pushing me toward putting my money into other upgrades....mud season is fast approaching.....and unless my bald tires sprout tread, I think I will just start shopping for 16" tires instead.
Thanks 454 for the quotes anyway!

454 72 4x4,were`re all on the same page with the order.Shelby987,it was just looking like you weren`t acknowledging what the rest of us were saying. It`s all pending on shipping cost,as usual. You just have to keep an eye on it and see who drops off.
Why not try a freight company, like ABF*,since this type of load is not the parcel companies' cup`o`tea.I`d take the whole package. But,if HuggerCST wants the tires, that`s ok and I`ll save on shipping. We would have to work out the money split, but I`d make it worth you while from my end. #2

*dock to dock,I`d be Hagerstown,MD.If no depot there,Baltimore.

Freight companies are basically non existant around here. I live in a rural comunity?, (I guess that's what you'd call it), and the nearest "big" cities are St Loius, MO and Des Moines, IA. Both of which are about 150 miles away.
There's a few independent trucking companies around but I'm guessing if they would ship these it would either cost a fortune or have to wait until they have a load going to the proper place. Who knows when that would be.

I'll contact DHL shortly and see what they have to say.

I'm always open to other solutions also. My zip is 63445 if anybody can figure this out from their end.

Re: 35x12.50-16.5 BFG's n slots for sale

I am interested, but don't want to give $400+ shipped for just the tires. I would like to have the tires for about $250, but it doesn't appear that the cost of shipping will allow that, even considering the "OBO" in your listing. Freight may be an option??? Sorry, I don't mean to blow the deal for anyone, but that's about all that I can do right now.

Update, DHL only ships up to 150lbs so I would have to ship 1 tire/1 wheel. Therefore the shipping costs I stated above would be really close.

HuggerCST and special-K;
I'll go along with splitting them up for the $ amounts stated above. $250 for the tires, $300 for the wheels, (shipped). That will leave me about $380. I can live with that.

Another thing. How long is acceptable to wait on a reply from the 1st to respond, (70rs/ss), before moving on down the line?

I did dismount one tire today and weighed it and the wheel.
Tire-56 lbs
Wheel-26 lbs

Lost a couple pounds somewhere between the seperate weights and the combined weights.
My highly accurate, triple calibrated, genuine made in china, borrowed from the mother-in-law, bathroom scale must not be exactly perfect...

If I can get them for $250 shipped, I'm in. 454- I noticed that you were interested in some axles that mkmiller1 has for sale. He is only an hour or so north of me, so if you were thinking about making the trip down to pick them up, you could save shipping the tires. Let me know how to pay.

Was that the 1 ton axles? (I'll have to check) Yea, I'd sure like to have a D60 but I doubt if I'll be able to afford the axles, (unless Uncle Sam is more than generous this year... That'd be a first. )

I'll PM 70rr/ss and give him a day or two? to respond. If there's no response sounds like we have a deal. (special-K, HuggerCST)

special-K, HuggerCST, and I have a deal in the works. Just waitin to hear from HuggerCST.

Like I stated in past posts, the wheels are not for sale seperately unless the tires sell first. HuggerCST is 1st in line for the tires and special-K is 1st for the wheels.
If somebody backs out...well, I guess you'll see the post again!
