NOS Hood, 73-80

I've decided to sell an NOS hood fitting 73-80 model years. Not to sound like a jerk but I will not ship this hood. I don't have the time to get it ready and wait for a freight carrier to pick it up.

I'm located in southeast Virginia and would consider a reasonable meet point if I received a non refundable deposit, gas money.

$300.00

I'll get some pictures up by early next week.

Re: NOS Hood, 73-80

Here's a link to my craig's list ad. The CL ad has pictures, easier than trying to post them here during the server upgrade.

I would consider a trade......Looking for a hood for my 50 Chevy pickup.

I hear ya. By the time I built a sturdy/safe crate/pallet the material cost plus freight makes the cost too high. Then with my luck it gets damaged and refused. LOL

The "shape" on the forward edge is a later model but it's my understanding GM replacements used this design towards the end of the production run.

The hood is not 77-80. It is 79-80 MAYBE late 78. It will work on 73-80. I had a hard time finding a non bowed clean 73-78 hood for my truck. Good luck with the sale. It is a very good price!

Yep, it's been in the box up against the wall in my garage. Took it out of the box this afternoon and bolted it on a 77 short fleet, and she headed down the road.

Damn! You should've bumped your post. I bet it would've sold quicker. I know I would've bought it. Oh well

I made enough on the NOS doors, fenders and tailgate to more than make up the difference.

The hood went to a close friend, so I was happy.

It's funny though, the other parts were sold before I got them home, the hood took nearly 4 years. My friend joked that he went out and bought a truck so he could get the hood. LOL

Re: NOS Hood, 73-80

It is funny how people don't seem to budge much on buying NOS sheetmetal. Most of the deals I want are too far away and shipping is always a deal breaker. My NOS metal I'll just end up taking to a swap meet.
