stock Tilt column with a 700R4 question

Is anyone running an original 69-72 truck TILT column with a 700R4 overdrive?
im curious if there are any problems with the detents in the steering column? were there any mods needed to the column?

I am and the only thing is that you won't be able to put the trans into first gear unless u get a kit, I used a Lokar, which now that I got it don't think wa worth the expense.

Ok, thanks for the quick replies. i am OK without first gear. as long as it still locks into park and i can bump it between neutral and drive without having to pull the lever toward me.

I'm not trying to be a dick (don't ask my wife) but do the KQQL mod so you can use 1st. There may be a scenario where you'll miss not being able to lock it in.
