gmpartsdirect.com

I am looking into ordering from them but everytime I email them I never get a reply so it makes me question their buisness and if they are good to buy from? Has anyone bought from them online before? Was it a good transaction or bad? fast, or slow? as far as getting your part or whatever.

Has anyone got something recently or waiting/ordering like now? My part is special order so I know it'll take awhile but just wondering about it. I kinda don't like sending money orders or using credits cards online. But I do and need to this time. Just wondering if someone has ever or are buying/waiting from them now.

Thanks.

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

I bought some things from them but their shipping is a little out of line and slow. For the price of their shipping and if they wont answer your e-mail with a question , I doubt if they would answer your e-mail with a problem. I would avoid them. What are you looking to order? Chris

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

I agree if they don't even bother in replyin to a simple question you have before ordering, what can you expect if you have a problem with the item? how would you get ahold of them? I would go with somebody else that has a better costumer service, even if it's special order I'm sure they aren't the only ones selling that part.

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

Thanks Will soon as I type this out I'll email you.

subject spring hanger.

I have to buy the front spring hanger for the rear leaf springs on my 86 4x4, no one here had the right one, and plus I dunno about getting one used, at least anywhere close due to rust and everything.

GM here wants 80 plus taxes, gmpartsdirect wants only 55 shipped.

I am broke now, and would have to wait like 2 weeks until I could pay cash or money order so I was going to charge it on my credit card.

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

GMPD.com has a goofy shipping price calculation policy, they always have.

I have used www.partszoneonline.com - great customer service, REAL shipping prices and they answer emails

Best part, no sales tax if you are in a different state

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

I have an open claim with DHL against them right now for fraud.

Use www.gmotors.com instead. You'll get your parts on time and those guys are great.

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

Thanks guys I ordered from P&G/ partzone

I contacted them for shipping and they had replied in like less then 5 minutes.

I do have to mention though their shipping was the exact same as gmpartsdirect for it. Both wanted 10 bucks shipping. gmpd wanted 10.03 though lol. After some of the bad rep. and open claim and the way they never replied I kinda wondered so I went with partzoneonline. I also wrote gmotors.com and asked them but went ahead with partzone, heck it was only 52.44 from them great deal IMO and they offered ups, fedex and postal service shipping as well as overnight and what not where as gmpd said 7-14 buisness days and that was for regular in stock and not special order like mine.

partzone said nothing about special order so hopefully they have it and can get it to me quickly.

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

Cool.

Maybe the shipping calculations have changed at GMPD. They used to have the policy that stated the shipping was a minumum of $7.95 (or something like that) plus a percentage of the dollar amount purchased!! That was BS enough...

I priced two instrument clusters. Both cost the exact same, yet one was $20 more to ship. I called them out on it with no reply (shocker).

They can get lost as far as I am concerned. Far too many other options out there to deal with their blantant BS for me

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

I thought for along time I wouldn't find the hanger I needed unless I went to gm then I found gmpd and then the great places you guys listed.

If all works out good I'll be doing more buiness with partzoneonline for sure.

gmotors wrote back to me and said their shipping would be like 11 bucks or something, and their part at 20% over was like 54 I think. Not bad at all.
I know from now on I'll definately keep them in mind.

I was shocked you could buy a cab from partzoneonline, for like 3775 or soemthing. I was like WHOA A CAB!!!!????

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

Yeah, the guys at gmotors.com are cool. You can either deal over the phone, by email, or use their automated form to make a parts request and they'll get back to you. Their phone number and emails are clearly posted all over the website. That's a huge thing for me - if I need to talk to a human, I want to talk to a human, you know?

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

EXACTLY

I follow the same setup for any online transaction if they won't reply to a question via email, before, then as stated above what about after? Or not even after but during? Like if it hasn't got there and you want to check on it.

It's very important for me to be able to reach them online and get emails back. I understand about being busy and all or short handed but for me I often hate the phone because of the automated crap, if I call I want a human not a recording, and not to be on hold for 10 minutes or switched over 20 times. I just have to wait and see when they'll ship it hopefully soon.

I found alot of other nice stuff their too, sunshades/louvers for my 86 camaro, I tried everywhere to find, great price on them. Bucket seat tracks for the 86 4x4 30 bucks each. I dunno if they came in pairs or what because it had 4 listing, 2 for 4 dor 2 for 2 door, and the 2 for each had right on one and left on the other so I assume the right pair? and left pair? If so that's a great deal IMO. I only wished I could have found the gas tank mounting brackets for it there.

Arrow Re: gmpartsdirect.com

I just ordered some door sills from them a week and a half ago and they said the item was special order and it would be 5 to 7 days befor i would get them and i got them in 6 days.

Iv ordered from them maybe 6 times and never had any problems with them or the shipping.

I have to say the shipping cost is a bit high they charged me 18 bux to ship stamped aluminum sill plates that weighed maybe 1lb. and with the box and packing maybe 4lb's.

Re: gmpartsdirect.com

Has anyone ever bought there door handles?? I purchased some from them and attempted to install them, but they wouldn't fit. The bolt holes which attach the handle to the door are drilled incorrectly, at the wrong angle, so you cannot get the bolt started. Emailed them and even did a return request like there web site says too, but no answer. I looked at the back of the handles and there is a bowtie emblem, but it has been X'ed out, which gave me a real sick feeling in my stomach. I'm guessing that I've been a victim of fraud. I may call the NC attorney generals office to see if they can get an investigation started. Something fishy here I think.
