VH Coachworks probs

Anyone have any issues with VH Coachworks? I sent payment over a month ago and the last communication I got from him is the invoice he sent me. Ive directly emailed and called several times with no response. I feel like I may have lost $127.

Re: VH Coachworks probs

Well, I have started a dispute throught paypal. Unfortunately, since he asked me to give the payment as a gift, I do not think I will be able to get my $127 back. I will no longer give money as a gift. As far as I can see that gets the receiver off the hook and paypal as well. I dont recommend that anyone else give money as a gift. The fees are the price we have to pay in order to use their site.

Re: VH Coachworks probs

I had difficulty getting hold of the late last year. I think they grew to fast and could not keep up. They have some quality products, I hope they can get there act together.

As far as PP fees I agree, gifting for a product hurts the buyer. And, AFAIC, this whole "add paypal fees if paying by paypal" is BS. Just add the few cents on the dollar, it's a cost of doing business.

Re: VH Coachworks probs

Hoping its just a communication error. I dont understand whay I cant get ahold of the guy, I called the phone number 3 times and left a message. I didnt leave anything nasty as I want to get the items still. Yea the fees are the cost of doing business.

Re: VH Coachworks probs

Just a friendly reminder, when using paypal and the seller ask for the money to be sent as a gift, that is a common ploy used by scammers. That doesnt mean everyone asking money to be sent as a gift is a scammer, it is just a big red flag for me.

Re: VH Coachworks probs

Transaction costs are a part of doing business and the bank, Paypal or CC companies charge a standard 3% give or take. When people try to up charge you for the cost or ask to send as a gift you need to be worried. Trying to skim $3 on a $100 sale is cheesy at best and I'd be worried about what they will do with the quality of the product.

Re: VH Coachworks probs

i also am having problems with VH Coachworks.
i payed for a harness for my 87 through paypal on Nov. 5 2013, our last contact was a pm early December saying my harness would be shipped on the 10th. Since then i have received no harness and no further reply. i have sent several Pms and called 4 or 5 times and left messages.

Feeling like i was scammed as well
not sure where to go from here. certainly someone who deals like this should not be called a "Gold Vendor"

Re: VH Coachworks probs

Interesting. I bought a lock kit from them middle of last year. Bench tested fine. Finally got around to installing it a couple of weeks ago. Worked fine until last week, now won't unlock, just lock. Tried to call them today and his voicemail is full and won't accept any messages. So I sent an email. Will have to wait to hear back from them. Let's hope that nothing is going on with him or his family that is keeping him from responding.

Same thing with mine, operation with the fob is useless.

And, I agree, hope it's not a family thing.

Re: VH Coachworks probs

Looks like he's still selling on ebay, in the past 6 months 213 positive and 4 negative. All the negatives in past 2 months. Looks like rave reviews before the last few months.

Don't think anyone on this forum is giving him any money right now.

Hate to see this, most of his products are top notch.

I am in the same boat. Ordered speakers in late November, one communication around mid-December, now radio silent. Anyone have a direct email or phone number for them?

Re: VH Coachworks probs

They still have items listed on e-Bay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-1972-Ch...ht_1500wt_1153

Look at some of the recent feedback. A buyer mentions that they mentioned a medical excuse as being a reason for a delayed shipment.
