but i have never seen "rare auto lock 4 wheel drive" on a 67-72 truck before and it isnt listed on the glove box ???

I think the auto locking hubs are simply never optioned with lockouts. I remember the old duce and a half, you had to do some backing and forward ritual, and maybe a transfer case lever too... not sure, I didn't get to drive them too much.

There's a few things that make me wonder the acuracy of the description... but either way, it looks totally bad ass and looks parade ready to me.

The only think rare about the so called "auto-lock" is that almost everyone ordered the "optional" lock out hubs.Kinda like bragging about a radio delete instead of an AM/FM.

A volunteer department I used to be on has a 69 or 70 (don't remember now) that didn't have the "manual lock out" hubs.

I'm not sure I would drool over that too much. It looks nice and shiny, but being a firefighter and having been a rural volunteer firefighter for 10 years now, I know how brush/wildland trucks get treated. I'm not saying it's in bad shape but without knowing a more thorough history, it may not be a $10,000-$15,000 truck.

I'd love to have that truck, contract myself out at $160 an hour at the next Forest fire in the Okanagon, I mean it is a truck to be used right? The only concern would be how often it got washed if there was any trapped water under all the checkerplate and how many hours on the motor, fire trucks sit and idle a lot. but what's a motor.
