Question 1969 C 10 Vent window

The one on the driver's side won't stay propped open anymore . No tension . I'm wondering if the spring's broken or just loose ? Looks pretty involved to pull it out ? Any ideas ? THANKS !!

Re: 1969 C 10 Vent window

Since I don't have time to skin my knuckles getting the Regulator and Window out, so I can pull the Vent Window Assembly, just to tension the spring on my drivers-side vent window -- I invented a Redneck trick -- I put a short bungee thru the latch, come around the back of the glass and set the hooks in the window channel. It's enough to hold the vent jibbed out, and vent cool air on my face at speed.
Total hassle when you stop if you have to secure the vehicle, but it's a lot easier than Internal Door Surgery.

Re: 1969 C 10 Vent window

THANKS guys . I've thought about rigging up something to keep my window open too . Oh well , don't drive this truck much anymore . May just order everything and try to do it right ? Have watched a couple U-tube videos , for what that's worth . Should add that I replaced this side regulator quite a few years ago . Still remember it wasn't very easy peasy . Thanks again !
