Here's my 71 Longbed with level stance. 0/4" drop, P235/75/15 on front, P265/75/15 on back, 15 x 7" rally wheels.

All four wheel arches are 31" +/- 1/4" off the pavement.

Re: 15 inch tire and wheel combos only

Not really sure what they're doing with the incredibly high gas tax in this state but it sure as blank ain't going towards road maintenance!

Your tires better have more than a few inches of sidewall or you'll end up with a bent rim.

Cheap Les Schwab steel wheels that have been on there for 25 years.

Yet another set of rally wheels...

255/60R15 all around (wanted to be able to rotate them).

2-1/2" Western Chassis drop spindles + 1" front drop springs from GMCPauls.

6" Western Chassis WC60C10R6 drop springs in the rear & 2-degree axle shims that might add another 1/4" or so of drop.

What brand are your rear tires, I have not found that size in white letters. Looks good!

Re: 15 inch tire and wheel combos only

I tried to do a search on this thread but was unsuccessful (shocker lol). And I tried running conversion charts via the web. What I ended up with there were actual tire dimensions all around but not what the size would be called SAE

So Ill ask is anyone here running - rear:P295 50R15 and front:P245 60R15 or the SAE equivalents? Maybe its just the P designation thats throwing me off and shouldnt be? Or maybe Im just used to 4x4 tire sizing lol.

I ran these on my Unibody and loved the look, just not sure how they would stack up on one of our trucks. I know a couple in here kinda sorta looked like it, but like I said ... I suck at searching =)

Re: 15 inch tire and wheel combos only

When I bought my Burban it had that tire combination on it. Not the best pictures but it may help you.
I went to a 275/60/15 to get a taller rear wheel when I replaced the rear tires. l prefer the look of big and little wheels. It also ended up making the speedometer read almost dead on too!

I forgot to add my favorite wheel and tire comparison site. Not only does it show tire sizes but, will also allow you to compare wheel offsets and shows the factory wheel sizes too.

I like the big and little look too. Im actually looking for Burb tires. I feel that if the burb is low enough it should be a good look, top of the wheel well is darn close to even with top of the wheel (not the tire). But the Unibody was smaller and shorter than a burb. The wheels I want to run are also the same size that were on my Unibody. 15x8.5 and 15x7

Ill check out the calculators you and Grump posted

Re: 15 inch tire and wheel combos only

I sent two 15x8 truck ralleys center of wheels only to Stockton California. They welded them into a set of 15x12 blanks with 7 inch back spacing. These work great. I didn't have to do anything with the rear end. I modified the bed and tubs. I even added on to the splash guards.

Re: 15 inch tire and wheel combos only

These wheels are 15" X 8" with a 6 X 5.5 bolt pattern truck rallies
The tires are are 255 /75/15

The last picture is the tire/wheel combo the PO had on the truck and was taken before the springs were replaced. They were 15 X 10s on the back and 15 X 8s on the front with 295/50/15 tires front and rear.
