Repop bed floor / wheel tubs VS Original

Curious how the repop (steel) bed floor and wheel tubs (specifically Dynacorn) compare to OEM? I understand nothing beats an original but these 50 year old parts are hard to find without issues. Really want to know how fit and finish is and if metal thickness is comparable to original. Thanks in advance!

I did a wood floor with every thing else was reproduction. The wheel tubs bolted right up to the bed sides. Didn't have to slot anything.

I put a repop entire floor in my 71K1500 during the build back in 2016. Surprisingly, it fit very well. Only issue was a little massaging to get the under bed original mud flap looking piece bolted back correctly on both sides (holes not lining up right). I replaced the bed floor due to waviness of 45 years of use, not rust issues. I put in new aftermarket wheel tubs also. I purchased everything from LMC truck. Bed floor was 100% complete with cross rails and end rail. Expensive but I was very satisfied with end result. Not sure what vender LMC was using in 2016.

Re: Repop bed floor / wheel tubs VS Original

I used a repo steel floor, wheel tubs and front bed panel with my original bedsides and tailgate. I was very pleased with the fit and finish. I have no problem recommending them. I believe mine were Tri Plus but I am not positive. It has been 3.5 years since I purchased them.

Re: Repop bed floor / wheel tubs VS Original

My experience with the after market bed wheel tubs was they took some work to iron out the flange lips. I sent this set back because of poor stamping.
The next set was a little better but still needed a little minor massage work.

I just replaced the wheel tubs on my 72 Blazer. I’m not sure of the brand, there were stickers, but just with part number. I don’t know how many manufacturers are re-poping these.

My only “problem” was that when the fender side bolts were tight, the floor flange was about 1/2” from the bed floor. I ran each bolt/nut just barely on all around, and then went back and pulled everything tight. This made it a little trickier keeping my seam sealer from going everywhere, but as with everything, the second one went on easier than the first.

The Woodall floors are spot on. I bought one for my GMC and I have had no issues. Very well done.
