May 2020 ToTM on Bring a Trailer

I tried to post a link but it won't work for some reason. Anyway, it's the fifth listing if you scroll down on the main page.

Such an amazing example of a first year Blazer rsavage! Please share the sale amount of the truck after the auction is over! I have a number in mind and I want to see how close I am. One thing is certain, it won't end up in my garage.... unless I sell my house to buy it, but then I won't have a garage.

Nice truck but I find it odd that since it is not a restoration, (Lots of non factory parts) it still has drum brake on the front.

I wonder what the heck it was then? Quality of the build brought a good sale, not a disc brake conversion.

I agree that is one fine example of first year Blazer. Very '69, too, with it's color, the 4spd, AND the drum brakes. It IS a restoration, just not a 100% original one that is so close to original it still has that vibe. And anything not OEM could be changed. It's great a buyer could appreciate that

Re: May 2020 ToTM on Bring a Trailer

Thanks Kevin. When I restored my 71 K5 Blazer 7 or 8 years ago, I restored it all stock except for the top and the wheels. That truck was loaded from the factory PS, PB, AC etc. This one I wanted to do a little differently. It was more basic but got tremendous attention at shows last year. I built it the way I wanted. Fortunately, it did super well at the Bring a Trailer auction. Haven't decided what to do next. My wife says I'm getting too old to do full restorations. She is probably right. She tells me I should be satisfied with one classic vehicle - the Corvette. Working on old cars and trucks keeps a cancer survivor with one lung going. I'm afraid if I stop, I'll sit around and die.

Great looking blazer. Deserved to go for the price it did!
