6 in. lift, is driveshaft long enough?
I have finally decided to lift my truck 6 in. and put 35's on it. I am going to use Skyjacker softride springs front and rear.
My only worry is if the front driveshaft will be long enough? Has anyone done this lift with my same setup (SM465/Rockwell)? Also what is the recommended width rim for 35x12.5 tires? Will stock rims work? What is the stock rim width? I now run 31x10.5x16.5 on my stock rims. Thanks for any advice.

I did the exact same lift with the exact same products and i did not have to lengthen the front shaft. It would help a little but it is not necessary. good luck and post a pic when your all done....

I did the exact lift on my 85 GMC Suburban!
6" springs (front & rear) 35x12.50 tires on 15x10 wheels I rode around for about a year with the stock drive shaft and never had any problems. But I did notice that my shaft was maxed out so I had a new one made for it. Now I am going 3/4 ton axles with 10" springs and 38's. Let us know how it turns out!

When I lifted my 69 4" with a manual three speed and Rockwell my front driveshaft did have to be lengthened. It was way short. I needed to add a CV joint also, too bad I didn't know that when I initially had the driveshaft lengthened.
As far as rim size, I'm running an 8" rim with no problem but you might be better off with a 10" rim.
