1991 and 1995 Instrument Clusters

I mostly deal with the Squarebodies, and rarely deal with the 88-98's here, so please excuse my cluelessness. With that said, I've heard some mumblings here and there about how 1991 had two different instrument clusters throughout the model year, and 1995 were unique to all other years. From first glance, it appears that the 95's are identical to the 96-00 clusters (I know 99-00 is on the 3/4 and 1-ton trucks).

Can someone shed some light on this topic for me?

Re: 1991 and 1995 Instrument Clusters

I put a 95 cluster in my 96 3500HD.

The 95 has red on the top of the Tach, the 96+ does not
