Man got behind on my pic taking, but will try to catch up now...

Ok so i rewired the entire truck, and when I say entire I mean every single switch and wire there is, including the blinkers and hazard in the column right down to the spark plug wires.

The Autowire kit has you widen your fuse-box hole to fit the new bigger panel - and then everything after that is running lines to the correct spot, trimming to length and putting on the clips or sockets. Its pretty easy as far as the directions and proper components being included and all labled in the kit are really impressive I thought.

I went ahead and wrapped everything in loom / zip ties so nothing could rub which took me several days of work to finish. I even color coded the looms so battery/alt/starter connections are in red for hot lol. Of course the wires themselves are correctly colored already for the year - but makes it faster to figure out which loom to open if you ever need to - who knows

That connection hanging right under the column you see is nothing but extra Ignition / Batt / Acces connections for your other goodies. there is also about a dozen extra fuse block spots if you need more. Love it

Here is the rats nest of wires that i pulled out of the truck.

I also did the 1-ton master/booster swap - the old 1/2 ton stock brakes are on the floor there.

And I pulled the dist / coil and did the 65k HEI instal with internal coil and 10.5 mm wires

(Just to prove I really meant EVERY SINGLE WIRE ON THE TRUCK IS BRAND NEW) haha

Also if you look close you will see a 144 amp csi alternator so I can power it all mo' better - the stock one i pulled out was only like 45 amps thats ridiculous. I used 4 gauge battery cables on that new alt so they could handle the juice

Re-installed the interior seats after cage was done

Put a steel stereo console in the center and moved/mounted my CB into it.
Added some twin steel whip antennas on the rail.

Hooked up my Kicker marine tower speakers and 2 more 4-way 6x9's in boxes to a marine DVD player in the Dash w/removable face. Bolted the stereo boxes to the tube - they arent going anywhere.

Might as well have a pair of 12" subs and 1000watts of marine amp as well - (Almost done with this step)

Since i was already knee deep in wires, i stopped at radio shack and got some LED switches to run my "extras" - put 5-30 ampers above the DVD player. Red when off and green when on - Sweet

here is a pic of what the first switch activates - inside the locking stereo middle console.

The DVD player has a night - lux backup camera that turns on when you hit reverse on the column - yet to be installed - but will be fun later.

Went marine on everything so they can get wet and be in the elements better - even the cig lighter in ther stock spot i swapped for a boat one

The reason the back-up camera isnt installed yet is because I decided to cut the overhangs off the rear bumper so they wouldnt snag on rocks - and since i always get carried away it seems like - i decided to skin it out with 16 gauge to match the "look" of the front warn bumper.

AS you can see it isnt done yet - but after grinding and paint I will post the end result.

She was officially started for the first time since last summer yesterday - as we adjusted the timing on the Distributor. It sounds gooooood - (no mufflers yet haha).

As soon as I finish the master/booster install and brake bleed she can go down the road for a test drive.

Thanks gentlemen- raw hided it all around the subdivision on saturday stomping the brakes and slamming the gears to see if I could brake something.

So far so good ! First time its moved in about 2 years. Shoulda seen how many people hit the sidewalks to take a look-see. Had numerous ride requests today - My son Jaxon is pretty proud of his monster truck with all the neighbor kids lol.

I wondered how they would look too, sticking up above the rail. I have to tell you it is really growing on me. It's a lifesaver too for all the tools and junk you have to have with you, that you need safe/sound and dry and out of sight for those that may walk off with something. I can stand on the beadlock ring to look into the box on both sides so its not even an issue for convenience as well.

I guess you could call the cage "custom" as I am the only rig in the world with this exact one.

It started as a standard 8pt cage from "All4FunOffroad" - the gentlemen who owns the place is known as "BroncoBob" - He does alot of bronco cages obviously - but also has Jimmy/Blazer/Ram styles. He is very helpfull and I sent him some mods that I wanted. He has the file in CADD and made changes on the fly with where I had asked for different bend areas and lengths. Then you get a pallet on your doorstep with each piece of tube, all bent up and labled, and you weld it together yourself and bolt it down.

I made the rear hoop bend to allow the side toolboxs to open and still tilt forward as much as possible. the middle hoop got widened and set back so the seats could recline. The wheel-well kicker was moved to the front of instead of trunk area like his pictures show...and I raised the rear hoop 2" and the center hoop 1" to give it a small rake.

Im sure he has the file for me still if you want to borrow or have him send you any of the pieces pre-bent.

Thought It would be nice to know what my vitals are running, only thing working on my stock gauges were the Speedo which was now off a bunch with the tires, and my fuel....

Decided to go with the Dolphin Gauges - All electric with Programmable speedo, tach, oil, fuel, volts, water and all the senders.

Works like a dream! And My speedo is correct and I can make it correct again anytime I change tire size or gears in the future - Shaweet. Simple plug and play on the Tach with my HEI and Autowire's kit. Couldnt be easier to install.....well the fuel float contraption and oil pressure sender was kinda a Beotch but well worth the trouble.

More finish work on the wiring was adding two more Cig plugs for the rear occupants and I rewired the Door switches to green toggles (rather than door pin ground switch) so everyone gets there own switch and LED bulbs. Plus can turn them all on with the headlight switch.

Also put a couple lights in the trunk area and brought my video cable for the backup camera into the rear bumper area. Waiting to figure out my spare tire carrier / hi-lift / gas can set up first before I punch the 1-1/8" hole

Wiring just never seems to finish!

Ran 4 guage from the battery into the tool box, and another for ground, with 2 more speaker wires, and Audio Left Right, and a remote turn on wired into one of my dash toggles - for the Kenwood Elite 1800w Mono amp. Its the only safe dry place - and this one barely gets warm so no worries.

Now I can have all the bass I want at the flip of a switch

Working on way to lock the box down so it doesnt walk away with my Polk Mobile Monitor Marine cert Subs. And Yes they Hit hard Have a set of Metal Gaurd bars to add to keep them safe

Did you get your exhaust yet? I'm diging what you got going on with this truck, you might need to do a little Blacks Creek or Silver City for a break in session before MOAB.
