Ok, I think I'm gonna try and make it up there for this too. I have to be back in Portland that night, but perhaps I can drive up on a Friday night and camp out somewhere, then leave Sat afternoon.

I'll check with the social director (wife) to see what we have planned. For some reason, I think we have something scheduled that weekend, but she's out of town on a business trip right now so I can't ask her.

Well I just found out my sister has planned a family reunion for the 29th. So I won't be able to make it. I will be here at my shop to take care of whatever you need Andy. The bumpers are 129.95 each and no shipping when you pick them up at my shop. WES

Gotta check with the boss, but I will try to make it. CG if you could pm your address, I work in Monroe, but not sure where you are at. Everybody should take advantage of this rare opportunity to meet a true celebrity of 67-72chevytrucks.com . If nothing else it's just a great excuse to have a get together

Re: The date is set LonghornMan is coming to the NW

Bryan, I'll be in south dakota on I90 going through;
Spearfish
Rapid City
Wall
Mitchell

I've been getting LOTS of contact numbers, and I'm LOVING IT! Thank you one and all, I've been getting food and bed offers, driveway/tool use offers, stop at a truck stop and shoot the crap over a burger offers... I wish i could stop and meet up with every one... but it isn't doable.

I dunno bout that man... I'm just a dude with no life and a somewhat good memory (and a stack of books and notes) You were in MO weren't you? Aren't you the one I traded the beer mug for the the polish? (I'm terrible with names, please forgive me which ever way that answer goes)

Wes, I may have another offer goin on (rims) that may prevent the bumpers from happening. Either way, I'll be callin you before I leave CG's place... depending on how long the work/shin dig goes on, you may close up shop before I get to roll out that way.

Does getting a burb mean you are going to change your screen name to longburb or burbhorn? Don't anybody even go anywhere near longhornyburb this is a family board.

Re: The date is set LonghornMan is coming to the NW

I-90 Western South Dakota...
I'm at Exit 55... We eat lunch about 2-3 times a week at a Truck Stop right at exit 55. So, if it's Lunchtime and your nearby... I'll buy lunch.
I will be out of town until Sunday 9/30. Back home here late Sun evening. Then back to work Mon 10/1... I work about 3/4 mile straight South of Exit 55 which is Deadwood Ave. I work at a radiator shop (we have a lift, a few tools, etc... especially if your having radiator troubles) As you get closer give me a ring.
Any way I can help call 605-381-5430

** edited due to noticing in other thread that your flying to Wash, then driving back...**

Re: The date is set LonghornMan is coming to the NW

I'm in but where is Andy flying into? I live pretty close to Seatac and could bring him out at any time of day or night. I thought I heard he was flying into Everett Field or something like that on one of those new airlines.

I am supposed to be in Guam on the 24th but am going to try to delay it so I can meet the infamous LONGHORN MAN! Been emailing this guy since about 1999!

I am sure ETsC10 will be there and Livrat as well as others. This is as important as the Monroe Swap Meet!

What are we planning on doing? Repack the wheel bearings, compression check, tune-up, rearend fluid, tranny service, engine oil change, belts, rad flush? I was planning on bringing a spare parts kit for him with an extra fuel pump and some critical spares. Case of Mt. Dew?

Re: The date is set LonghornMan is coming to the NW

I'll be flying into Bellingham... I dunno if that's the name of the airport, or the town?
Mike, While yeah, we've been talkin for years, and I have no idea if/when I'll be out that way again... your work sounds a little more important than us getting together. But on the other hand, if you can get them to wait... more power to ya!
I did JUST get a PM from Livrat, offering to pickme up from the airport also... so don't feel like you HAVE to p!ss off the powers that be at work over this.
Call me tomorow man... if you wake me, don't hang up... I'll probably be up most of the night tonight, I'm alredy expecting a call, and have told her I can sleep anytime. So I'll tell you the same thing.

Andy, I'll be driving past Bellingham airport to get to monroe, let me know if your ride has something come up, it's literally on the I-5. Send me your arrival time, maybe we'll get a parade of subs going down. good coffee and a bagel to start the road trip.

Re: The date is set LonghornMan is coming to the NW

OK...Bellingham is a little off my usual path so I am bowing to IAFF2407. I will already be there working on the Burb by the time you guys arrive...let's make a list of things to do before you leave. I can have it up on jacks, tranny drained, reared drained, wheels off, brake drums off for inspection and engine oil drained.

Andy...make a list of "sh!t to do" and PM it to Mark or post it. We can get started on it. GIT'R DUN!

Mark, Do you have power and a compressor in the FIL's barn or is that where the burby will be located?
