A/C question; heat/defrost duct

Is this diverter duct piece the same in a/c and heater only systems? The drawing in the assembly manual looks the same.

Dunno about heater only systems..... If it helps, that looks like the diverter in my K20 with factory 4-Season A/C.

That's a pic of my heat only system's heat/defrost diverter, I'm hoping it's the same.
I am piecing together an a/c system for my project on the cheap with used parts. The less I have to buy the better.
Anyone else??
