Not a chev, but still GM questions

anyone know where a guy might find a set of heads for buick 215 V8 (Rover same thing)? there are a couple sets on Ebay im watching, but thought if board member had or knew of a set, i'd rather give them my money than some dude on ebay.

a little background, the 215cid was a all aluminum V8 - big bore, short stroke - that they built from 61-63, then sold the molds to British Leyand (land rover). found in specials and a few skylarks(?), i think.

thanks
heath

Will the later land rover units bolt up to the vintage buick engine?

Yep...so will the FI intake manifold off the Rover.

You can also make a very good set of heads from the '64 300" Buick V8. They were offered in alum. or iron. Oddly enough, I believe the iron heads are more desireable.

Couple of excellent sites for Buick (or Rover) knowledge:

www.buickstreet.com/forum
www.v8buick.com

If you want to see some SWEET looking aftermarket Rover/Buick heads - check out http://www.roverv8engine.co.uk/index2.htm - they also have some killer 6.0l blocks with a 4.000" bore!!
