Ebay for Fender emblems etc

I need a '81 Silverado/20 emblem for one of my front fenders

Very pricey for a piece if plastic.

I see them on Ebay way less expensive

Ive bought a couple things off ebay lately and the sellers were very good.

Are these chevy fender emblems going to be the same thing that LMC sells at way higher price?

.

Well it depends. Are the ones on eBay new or used? If they are new, does it state the manufacturer. Most of the emblems are made by OER. But not knowing exactly which ones you’re seeing on eBay, it’s hard to answer that question. But there are other vendors out there besides LMC. Shop around for a better prices, with the shipping. You could pay less for the part, but end up paying more just because of the shipping.
Back when I was looking for parts for my truck, it was like a research project for me. I would write the part down and then look at every place I could find the same part at, even if it was a good used part. Then make a note on how much each of these places were, with the shipping rates. You would actually be amazed at how the prices fluctuate between vendors.

"Most of the emblems are made by OER" ? ? ?

Ive been to The Truck Shop in Orange and Brothers in Corona, both have higher prices and dont care for either quality wise. Never bought from LMC. There is one vender , USA parts I think, I see alot of complaints that there orders never arrive or it take many many months to receive what they paid for

When it comes to USA1 Industries, it the big items that take time. I order stuff from them all the time, and most of it comes in a timely manner. They are only a small company of 20-25 people trying to fill thousands of orders. They are not a huge corporation like all the other vendors, they don’t have warehouses stocked full of premade items ready to ship when an order comes thru.
Out of the hundreds of items I purchased from USA1, my door panels took 4 months. I had a couple of seat covers that took almost a year, but it was a specific color that was out of stock from the manufacturer, not their fault. And this was during all the shutdowns.
When it comes to an item like Emblems, just shop around for your best price. I have used LMC for small items like this and the quality is just fine. After all, they are just a vendor, they don’t make any of the items they sell.

Re: Ebay for Fender emblems etc

Ive been price and quality shopping for original type '81 grill and head light bezels for a long time. I will probably get those from LMC. I think Ill get the all LMC' chrome bezels too

The Truck Shop in Orange has a nice store, its like a old fashioned large parts store and they have show room for vintage engines, restored trucks and cars. pretty cool....

Brothers in Corona Ca., kind of a weird place. More of a Hair Salon vibe, or techno dentist office set up... , creepy sterile place, to me. Very disappointed with the product I bought from them, like cheap junk
